I would not recommend this physician for anyone with kidney disease. He used to be a very caring professional but in the past couple of years he has become arrogant and acts like he can't be bothered. His office staff is rude and you can actually hear it in their voices that they hate their job.

I could not disagree with the negative reviews more! Unlike most specialists, Dr. Eldridge appears genuinely concerned with the entire patient, including his or her socio-psychological makeup. He pulls no punches and is very caring. He communicates with none's other doctors and coordinates treatment.
I highly recommend this superb doctor/nephrologist.

Dr. Eldredge is the most uncaring, self-centered, loudmouth, know it all I have met. It took 1 month for him to sign FMLA papers so I could get time off from work to care for a family member - this family member died early on a Wednesday morning - he was aware of the death and signed the papers later that day. Alot of good that did.

Dr. Eldridge is a very arrogant person. He has let my mother's health fail for the past 5 months with his lack of knowledge and inability to ask another doctors opinion. We have asked for this repeatedly and he has always been negative about doing so. He gets very upset when you ask him questions and has a God complex. I would never suggest someone use him as a doctor unless you want unacceptable health care and have a desire to die.

He is not my doctor but my mother's and I find him to be arrogant. She has not received any diagnosis and has been hospitalized for longer than any other person I know (5 months now). When I suggested that she be moved to a larger facility he exhibited attitude unbecoming to a doctor - every person is entitled to a 2nd opinion except maybe his patients.

This is the doctor who saved my life. I met him in the emergency room as he informed me that I had kidney failure. He steped into action propmtly. He explained everything to me as if I had a brain(which I do). He talks bluntly but it is with confidence. He will be honest with you and he will keep great care of you. He has many patients yet you feel you are his top priorty. He had me register to get a transplant on my 1st office visit because of the severity of my ESRD. I have him above all(except the donor) to thank as I now have that transplant.

The staff in this office reflect the doctors knowledgeable and professional attitude. The doctor for the most part is punctual and when he is not it is appreciated that it is because he is taking the time and caring for someone who needs him, as I want him to be with me should there come a time. He is knowledgeable and takes the time to explain the diagnosis and treatment which is needed. I would recommend the doctor, his partners and staff to anyone who faces the future with the need for dialysis.

He is the worst doctor that I have come in contact with. When he does bother to stop and see a patient he has a poor bedside manner. Does not seem to care about the patient as much as he does about how loud he can talk and how many people look at him. Arrogant isn't a strong enough word to describe him. What is most unfortunate is that there isn't any other nephrologists in this area to switch to. That is the downfall with living in a smaller community.
