had double hernia surgery in 2004 by Dr. Ahmed. He made me feel like he knew what he as doing and the surgery went off without a hitch. I think he's very good.

Dr. Ahmed is a very kind and caring physician. I have had a breast biopsy and hernia repair done by him and have nothing but positive things to say. He is gentle and considerate. I healed with no complications and virtually no scarring. I don't recognize him from the ranting negative posts. I think these patients had unusual experiences. Dr. Ahmed is typically very patient and thoughtful and communicates well, which cannot be said for all surgeons.

Dr. Ahmed did my gallbladder surgery and 14 days after I had to go back in for herniated incision. When I went back for a check up he checked down my pants when the incision was on top.

Very reassuring and skilled for my gall bladder removal. I was treated with respect by Dr. Ahmed and every member of his staff. I would recommend this practice to anyone.

I discussed post op care and this doctor took it upon himself to change what was discussed. The coward did not have the guts to tell me until I was prepped for surgery. Due to his prejudice, I was administered Toradol (known to have trouble w/ bleeding) and had serious bleeding problems. After a second emergency surgery (by a different surgeon, thank God), I spent 3 days in ICU and a lot of $$$. Other doctors apologized on his behalf. One even telephoned me in ICU "to apologize on behalf of the medical profession." I refused to let this doctor near me since. I have never been so humiliated and I still cry when I remember I was too weak to get dressed and walk out of INOVA hospital before my surgery. This was well over a year ago, so this is not some temper tantrum. I CAN BACK UP MY STATEMENTS WITH NOT ONLY ONE DOCTOR, BUT TWO. Do yourself a favor and find another surgeon. I hear that Dr. Moynihan and Dr. Edmiston in the same practice are excellent.
