I was a patient of Dr. Barclay's when he was practicing in Ft. Worth. I highly recommend this doctor. Very good all round. I wish he never moved!

In 2002 or 2003, Dr. Barclay increased my Lipitor all at once from 10 mg. (the minimum) to 80 mg., (the max). I immediately had severe side effects, which I repeatedly reported to him. His response was I was to blame as I was gaining weight (I was eating less, not more), and he said my brain fog and muscle pain and weakness were NOT caused by the medication. He was verbally abusive to me even though he knew I hadn't had these symptoms pre-80 mg. Lipitor. I continued to report same problems but did not outright insist or refuse to take the stuff because the brain fog had turned me into a zombie. In summer 2004 I decided that as sick as I was, I was going to die, so there was no point in continuing to take expensive meds. Within a couple of days of stopping, the fog started lifting and in the following 3 weeks I lost approx. 25 pounds of fluid. I still have seriously impaired health from that overdose.
