The most horrific doctor I have ever experienced. I will be suing for discrimination. The staff is lazy, they office basically conned me out of hundreds of dollars, and doctor Lane is a cold, arrogant, incompetent hag.

Dr. Lane is EXACTLY what you want in a surgeon. Professional, direct, honest, and takes no excuses. She gives you the tools to be successful, but in the end you are responsible for your own health. I would recommend her 100% and trust her beyond measure. Heather Fields

My impression of Dr. Lane is that she takes a hurried approach to her work to maximize her productivity. While she may be a skilled surgeon, many of her decisions seem to be driven by expediency. At a post-surgical office visit she described the deep redness around my incision as “unremarkable.”. Four hours later I was referred to the ER after the incision burst open with infection as I was walking down the street. A subsequent hernia repair surgery was done in quick, and inadequate way, reopened within a few months, requiring additional surgery (a different surgeon) to do the proper repair. While it is not as convenient, I have opted to use U. of M./Ann Arbor instead.

Bedside manner not wam and fuzzy but excellent surgeon. I have had success with the program. No issues with gastric sleeve. That is what I care about.

Had almost an identical experience as a previous post. The conversation is one way and she does not listen to her patients when there is an obvious post op problem. After three trips to the ED where there was an obvious infection that she said was normal post op symtoms I went to the ED with an incision draining fowl smelling drainage then I was admitted and had the infection drained and tested positive for a staff infection that could have been treated early had she taken the time to listen and not be so arrogant. I would strongly suggest finding a different surgeon. It was a horrible painful post op experience not to mention it could have very quickly became life threatening.

Always seemed hurried, a one way conversation with little dialogue, I went for a post-op visit where it was very apparent that there was an infection, she was "not impressed that there was a problem." Got home, took the dog for a short walk, the incision burst open and blood started flowing down my slacks, went to the ER because she wasn't available, got the treatment I should have received earlier in the day when I went to see her. Not a good experience and certainly could have been avoided if she had taken the time.

I had used Dr. Lane for my first breast cancer surgery, in 07 , and when i had a recurrance 2010, she was my first choice for second surgery. There was not a doubt in my mind that she would do a great job the second time and I was right. Almost no scarring, and only what she needed to take, and she was so compasionate. I would direct anyone I know to her. Happy patient, Tamara Ramiller
