This is one of the most arrogant people I have ever met. Doctors say that they want patients to take responsibility for their health, and I attempted to do that. But he clearly didn't want me involved in MY health decisions. I asked him a question because I was confused about a particular thing he said, and I was asking for some clarification. But instead of just answering the question, he responded by saying "I am not going to debate this with you." I wasn't challenging him, I was just asking a question! Dr. Frankel, you may be brilliant intellectually, but being a good doctor involves more than just intellectual knowledge. I am just as intelligent as you are (I have two doctorates, and am very well published); I just don't know about medicine like you do. That does not make you superior to me; it just makes you different. Unless this doctor can evolve emotionally, I would stay away from him. It will just be a waste of your time.

Just because a Dr. has a full wall of accomplishments in his office, doesn't give him the right to be so arrogant and unsympathetic,it's just means his ego is more important then his patients.I found him rude, short tempered and very, very arrogant.I would never recommend him to anyone I cared about.I wouldn't even take a stray cat to him..if he treated cats.I'd never go back to see him, even if it meant I might die.

This guy is definitely arrogant, but I think he has the right to be. He's got a full wall of accomplishments in his office. However, I will say that he's very thorough, and he doesn't waste any time. He's the second neurologist I've gone to, because I've had epilepsy since I was 13, and I recently moved to Omaha. Honestly, I really like Dr. Frankel. I probably like him so much, because I'm no longer in that stage of needing someone to comfort me about my condition. I understand it, and I accept it. My last neurologist was very compassionate, and at the time I needed that. Right now, it'd probably just waste my time. Dr. Frankel is a good doctor, just not for everyone.

I had the exact same experience with Dr Frankel. VERY arrogant and not very sensitive to your concerns. He does not let you explain your symtoms without cutting you off in mid-sentence, and then makes you feel like an ass for asking questions.

I was referred to this dr. after I found out about a brain condition. I was scared about what will happen to me. He was arrogant and rude. He did not answer any of my questions. Told me my symptoms are all in my head. When I asked how I was creating a tremor, dizziness, numbness, etc. He became angry that I questioned him. He told me that my symptoms are caused by stress, depression or the medication I am on. When I said I am not depressed or overly stressed, his remark was "everyone says that".
