My teen daughter was never heard by this doctor. She always looked confused and didn’t make eye contact with my daughter. She was quick to blame her pain on anxiety and psychiatric illness instead of trying to investigate. Complete waste of time!

Dr. Hawkins-Holt is a wonderful doctor who listens & does not rush you through your appointment. She also is a pediatric rheumatologist and is wonderful with kids! Office staff and nursing staff are friendly and attentive. Scheduled appointments are on time. Highly recommend Dr. Hawkins-Holt!

I have seen her three times, I was given my RA diagnosis over the phone by someone other then my doctor. Then on the third visit I thought was when she would go over information with me about what this means to me and what we can do. Not only did she not explain but she got defensive when I asked a question, I am not the doctor, I am just trying to understand how this is affecting my life, no this is what to expect, it was here try this new $20000 drug if you want to feel better. No compassion and certanitly no help, I feel lost and now finding myself starting from the drawing board on doctors when I should be feeling better.

I disagree with the other comments and have found Dr. Hawkins-Holt very helpful. I have had fibromyalgia for 19 years and although I need to take three different medications to dull the pain in my muscles, I find the most useful remedy for the pain is regular exercise in the form of cardio and weights.

If you have fibromyalgia then I suggest that you never seek the help of this doctor because she is completely unsympathetic and incompetent. She is fully unaware of the seriousness and reality of the illness, and thus will not be helpful in any fashion.

This doctor is an arthritis care specialist who also treats fibromyalgia patients. While she may be knowledgeable in the area of arthritis, I do not recommend her for someone with fibromyalgia. My experience, for my daughter, was that she discounted the pain that my daughter was experiencing, to the point of ridicule, Because she could not see a physical reason for the pain, it was determined to be fictional. I suggest seeking someone who is known to have had success with other fibromyalgia patients.
