Both wife and I use Dr Vollrath as our PCP, for about three years. His staff during this time has improved tremendously, and it appears he has hired additional staff. Dr Vollrath works with two other MDs, so if he is not in the office and it is an urgent matter, you can be seen by one of his associates. Waiting room time is minimal, and I always see the doctor within 15 or 20 mins of walking into the office. The staff is courteous. His nurse Mindy is not the most friendly person, but that should not reflect on her professional abilities. I believe she is an excellent nurse. Dr Vollrath is very thorough in his explanations and listens carefully when you describe your reasons for seeing him. He is very detailed oriented. Overall impression is that of an excellent physician. He has a lab adjacent to his office, but you are free to use any lab that your insurance will pay for. The lab techs are not very competent and have difficulty drawing blood.
