Reading the negative comments here I now understand why his attitude is like this.

My daughter had ezcema around her eyes and he treated her with antibiotic. Lucky that I went for another doctor for second opinion. He had no patience with kids either. He did not even attempt to calm down my child at all when my kid cried.

Dr. Lau is very knowledgeable and experienced. In the past 12 months I have spent lots of time around other medical professional at Sick Kids. Using that as a reference, I would say Dr. Lau's knowledge and experience is top notch .

If you are interested in seeing someone that place a stronger emphasis on your feelings than your kid's actual well being, go find another doctor.

The worst doctor I have ever seen in Canada. No patient to parents, no love to kids. Never suggest him to friends.

I would say that the doctor is good and knowledgeable though not friendly.... but the people at the front desk are horrible especially the guy over there.. not sure about his name.. he doesn't know how to be polite and treat the people.... so bad... and if you make an appointment for 10 am, you wont be seen until 11 atleast.... doesn't keep the time at all... but still i go there only because of the doctor....

He is a terrible doctor. When my son really needed help due to depression, he did everything that he could to pass him off to others. Whenever it came time for him to step up and take responsibility, he would not. When the going gets tough, he runs for the hills. If your child is a patient then you better hope that they do not get any serious illness or mental illness. After being my son's doctor for his whole life, he let my son down in a big way. Please find another doctor while you can.

Great doctor, very attentive and knowledgeable. He may not be the friendliest doc out there, but he never gave us a wrong diagnosis and was quick to send to specialists when needed.

He seems a knowledgeable dr. But if u ask him question s, he will ask u back. My kids c his partner, dr. R.wong who is much better. But on sat when dr. Wong not on duty, and my kids r sick we c dr.lau, which better than walk in clinic when it comes to hard to dignosis ilness
