Love Dr. Shaikh! Yes, we waited over an hour past our appt time, but he is VERY thorough which explains the wait time, and he really listens and takes what you say seriously. He's patient and kind, my son (12) really liked him as well. I don't know what other reviews are talking about the front desk staff, unless the lady that helped us is different...we had no problems with her, very nice! Highly recommend Dr. Shaikh!!

Me and My Youngest brother been seeing Dr Shaikh since we both had are mental illness and I got say that Dr Shaikh is a really good Paediatrician to me and my brother ...and also both of his Secretary Debbie and Nicole is really nice and out really friendly to talk to :)

Dr. Shaikh is beyond accessable in an emergency and his staff (especially Debbie) are understanding and responsive. Since the pandemic they are always accessable via email and call quickly if urgent or call you within 1-2 business days if not urgent.
Can't recommend enough!

My kids have been going to dr Shaikh since birth and I loved him! Sadly some unfortunate incident happened in his office and I was accused of causing a scene to which I was not even there at the time in question! When I tried to call and make an appointment they would not even hear me out told me to find a new doctor and hung up on me! I am mortified that the staff at this office now associate me with this event but sadly there is nothing I can do.
Despite this I love this office my kid’s loved Shaikh and his staff and I’m devastated. Yes there is usually a wait but you get that with any doctor.

we were referred to Dr Shaikh by our Pediatrician who has closed her practice. We were nervous about the change.. but the office was very welcoming.. He knew every specialist my daughter sees and knew about everything going on with her. he also had full knowledge on my son and daughters FPIES which is not well known. I feel confident with my kids being in his care. he took the time to go over everything and answered all questions. During a time like this when theres high stress in the medical field was patient and understanding. he was also amazing with my daughter! his secretary was so sweet with my daughter too!

My last visit didn't go well. Normally I don't have an issue. Booked the appointment months in advance. The confirmation call stated that if I don't give 48 hours notice I will be charged $50. I just started a new job. I didn't get the message until the day before the appointment. Therefore not enough notice. I called to cancel the appointment an hour before they closed. Upset about the fee, I asked my work if I could leave early. They agreed. I called back just after close. Saying please disregard my last message, I will be there. I checked my phone before leaving, no message from the office so I assumed all was well, until I got there. I was told that my appointment was cancelled and they had already filled the spot. So how come I was going to be charged if the spot was filled within the hour of my first message? I was told that they called me and left me a message. I check my call history/ voicemail nothing. I was told to have a seat snd they will see what they can do. Myself and the other 4 people in the waiting room heard them talk about me.
"She cancelled her appointment and then just showed up."
" I called her to say we can no longer fit them in and she pretended she never received the message." ( I DID NOT RECEIVE A MESSAGE)
" Well what does she want us to do?"
I suppose I was in the wrong for not calling to make sure all was well before going there, but I felt humiliated after hearing them talk about me while others listened.

I’ve been bringing my children to see Dr. Shaikh for almost 9 years. Sometimes there is a wait, I’ve found it’s gotten a bit better though since he moved his office to St Catharines. He does have residents sometimes, so if my kids need shots etc than they will do the appointment unless there is a concern, than Omer will come in. My daughters have a health condition, and when I’ve had other doctors not investigate or help when something was wrong, Omer was on top of it and wanting to investigate/ send us to a specialist to get to the bottom of the issue. I’m very happy with the care my children receive and happy they have such an amazing paediatrician!!!

The absolute rudest secretary. You always wait an hour past your appointment, to then only see a resident, not Dr Shaikh. But the number one reason we will be finding a new Pediatrician is the secretary. She shouldn’t have a job.

The secretary made a mistake on our appointment time when confirming the day before and so we missed our appointment time. The secretary was then nasty to us and didn't even apologize for her mistake, even when I asked her to. I took a day off work to go to this appointment and they wouldn't even accomodate. We waited 3 months for the appointment in the first place. I was extreemly upset with how I was treated. I even spoke to the doctor and he wouldn't help either. The doctor and secretary were both late coming in. Everybody's time is important not just a doctors. This place is totally not worth having a childs health in their hands. Go somewhere else!

Dr. Shaikh is amazing! He always answers our questions to the fullest , hes really compatuonate to our son and family . His staff and him are very professional and caring . I couldn't ask for a better doctor . Hes always on top of things especially with my sons heart condition. We dont just feel.like a number to him . Thank you for all your hard work. We are lucky to have you .
