Dr. Nel is a compassionate, gentle, knowledgable, authentic and caring doctor. He goes above and beyond every day. His receptionist Carrie is just as thoughtful, kind, caring and all around amazing! They are a fantastic team who genuinely care about knowing and helping their patients. I have seen many doctors and been to many offices, clinics and hospitals and none come even close to exemplifying the professional, compassionate care these two provide. They are a truly rare find, a winning combo and a breath of fresh air in the often stressful, hurried, and challenging medical world.

I have moved away from Port Alberni but have kept him as my family Doctor it is worth the 2 hour drive one way to receive the fantastic care that I receive. I was one of the fortunate people that was able to see him when he opened up his practice over 12 years ago.

Dr Nel is amazing , he truly cares ! I hurt my shoulder years back. I saw Dr.Nel on a Friday and on Saturday out of the blue he phoned me ! I never had a doctor phone on Saturday it was awesome, from that moment I felt that me my wife and daughters were extremely lucky and fortunate to have him as our doctor! No matter the problem he will do what ever it takes to help you! . Port Alberni is very fortunate and lucky that Dr.Nel chose this town to practice medicine and raise his family. and call Port Alberni their home! And as up front Carrie is incredible! She as well will go above and beyond to help you! When my daughter was younger and I had to see Dr.Nel and Carrie would have her sit back with her ,and colour , Ever since then my daughter never did not want to go to the doctors! There is not enough scores to rate them, They are amazing D.Nel is hands down the best doctor ever !!! Carrie is without a doubt the best reception ever she is so helpful!! She always goes above and beyond. !! She is always giving you all of her attention! Izak and Carrie rock they are a perfect team!!
