The staff at Dr Kval is by far, the best I have ever had the privilege of working with. Dr. Kval is one of the best physician I ever knew.

As a heads up, He is fixated on people who smoke and people who are overweight. It's one thing to encourage, it's another to be controlling. It feels like he forms the diagnoses around the weight control and smoking than listening (have a genetic condition in my family, didn't listen, it was the weight). If you have a lifestyle that doesn't meet the ideal of how one should live (travel often, busy work schedule, taking care of family) it feels like you're expected to accommodate his ideal even if it means cannabalising yourself (kill yourself if you have to do it but just do it). Couldn't ask about an alternative treatment because focused on the weight, despite condition being genetic and developed when I was thinner. If you're thin, and don't smoke, and don't believe anything bad Will Ever happen to you because your thinness will magically protect you, try him. I feel leery of someone who read my thoughts before I made up my mind.

An amazing doctor!! This man cares very much for his patients and takes the time to answer all questions thoroughly. I too have received multiple after hours calls from him to discuss labs, or see how I'm doing. He goes above and beyond the responsibilities his job calls for and I would and do absolutely recommend him to anyone I looking for a great primary care physician.

Dr Kval is genuinely concerned about the welfare of his patients. He inquires about other family members whenever I see him. He is not afraid to tell you things you may not want to hear if it concerns your health and well being, yet he does so in a very respectful manner. You may have to wait a little past your actual appointment time but that is because he does not rush his examinations and/or interviews. He does not leave a patient until both he and the patient are satisfied that everything necessary has been covered. I have also had a after hours phone call from Dr. Kval to discuss test results. I highly recommend Dr. Kval as a primary care physician for your whole family.

this is a great dr some staff very slow at calling back sometime takes 3 phone calls but the dr is GREAT he knows what he is doing we love dr kval the whole family sees him

Dr. Kval is very caring and he listens to what you have to say. He spends more time with you than the average dr., if necessary. He's got a great bedside manner, and he has ideas. He listens to your ideas too. Having said that the woman I checked out with is another story. But this is about Dr. Kval and he deserves a high rating.

Far and away the best family doctor you will ever find. I have multiple health issues, and he always makes sure to cover every one of them (as well as many personal/familial issues). I don't know how he can get to sleep at night, because his concern for his patients' health is so genuine that he has, in the past, spent well over an hour in an appointment with me. If you're a "seeker," you'll probably want to look elsewhere. But if you genuinely need certain medications, he will prescribe them for you, conservatively enough to avoid dangerous conditions.

Dr. Kval has been extremely helpful every time I've been there. I visited him no less than 30 times in 2008. One Friday night at about 8pm I received a phone call from Dr. Kval himself with my blood test results. I never expected a call that late, let alone from the doctor himself. He told me that he knew I was waiting for those results and he didn't want me to wait through the weekend. He stated that he had just received the results and wanted to get me the information asap. I would recommend anyone visit Dr. Kval.

Well first of all I would like to say that no other Dr. has ever given me his/her contact info for around the clock contact. Dr. Kval is one of a few Doctors still left in America that focuses on patient care and not insurance. He has always provided my family exceptional, personalized care with qualified answers to all of our many questions. I have never felt rushed or just another patient when I am under his care. I can honestly say that Dr. Kval does not ever talk down to me or any other member of my family. He is a very humble Doctor that , if allowed , will redefine family health care in America. Now to keep it fair and also discuss the negatives of his office because there are not a lot of his patients that have state insurance we sometimes are inconvenienced with multiple trips to health departments for shots. This is no fault of Dr. Kval's but it is a concern for me as his patient. I would recommend Dr. Timothy Kval to all in Spring Lake that are seeking an all around great Dr.
