I can not say enough about Dr. Hucal. I have fought with my teeth my whole life and have had many orthodontist consultations from breaking my jaw to have 4 adult teeth pulled. Dr Hucal was amazing from the start, he let me know the pros and cons of everything, gave me options and asked for my input. In the end no broken jaw and I got to keep all my teeth! If you want your teeth to be fixed the right way go to Dr Hucal. Other places will give you cheaper/ faster quotes but I can tell you in the end the job will not be half as good! Your teeth are with you for life don’t risk going anywhere else! Thank you Dr. Hucal and you amazing team.

I had one of the technicians drop my wire on the ground, instead of grabbing a new one she wiped it off with a Lysol wipe and put it back in my mouth? When I pulled away because I didn’t want a dirty wire in my mouth she seemed bothered and proceeded to put it in anyways. They’ve told me that they will be able to project how much longer for my last 4 appointments, they said they would send in a referral to a new periodontist at my last appointment 3 weeks ago and today told me the same thing. It left me questioning why hadn’t the referral been sent through when he told me it was going be almost a month prior. Wouldn’t recommend getting anything but Invisalign here seeing as that’s what they specialize in.

My treatment with Dr Hucal has honestly been exceptional. He genuinely cares about your progress and your outcome, and keeps you informed through every step of the process- which to me, is crucial. He and his staff are experienced, knowledgeable, warm and friendly.

If I have learned anything in my orthodontic journey, it is to always seek a second opinion when beginning treatment. Be sure that one of them is with Dr. Hucal. That will be a far better gauge than any review could be.

My family has had nothing but an amazing experience with Dr. Hucal. Dr. Hucal is very accommodating and everyone in the office clearly knows what he or she is doing. Two of my sisters and I have had treatments here and my parents (who now live in Manitoba) are tempted to come back for my little sisters just to have the same smooth experience that they had with us older ones. I would recommend Dr. Hucal to anyone (and have on several occasions). Thank you for making braces (a not-so exciting experience) bearable and even, on occasion, enjoyable!

We moved here from Nova Scotia 1/2 way through my son's treatment and were sent to Dr.Ivan. Things went smooth and we really like him. All staff are great!

This orthodontist needs a Reality Check! The $ signs in the eyes have multiplied ten fold over the years and the quality has decreased significantly. I sent 3 family members to this office for orthodontics service , the first two were satisfactory the remainder were not. 10 years ago Hucal was really into his work, relaxed, worked excellent with kids and had a more professional office staff. Now, he is uptight, money hungry, has a clicky office staff with brains the size of a pea. He does not have time or care about patient problems that come up. I will not be wasting anymore money here. I would not recommend this office. Red Deer doesn't have a whole to offer in regards to orthodontics so though it costs a bit more you may be better off going to Calgary/Edmonton for a better service and experience.
