Had Birmingham hip resurfacing (bilateral) done in 2010. Great outcome, couldn't be happier. Dr. Raterman and Marlena (PA) are the best.

I broke my knee in several places. Dr. Raterman was able to fully restore my knee with pins and wire and avoid knee replacement. I am pain free and walk/run with regular gait. Extremely happy with the results. He's a wonderful doctor and I am 100% happy with results.

Had a bilateral hip resurfacing done with special cup due to dysplasia. More difficult surgery then normal, could not be happier with the result, can't recommend him enough.

DR RATTERMAN IS A BAD DR. HE WORKS FOR THE INSURANCE COMPANIES NOT FOR HIS PATIENTS. AS WITH MOST OF THE DRS AT FLORIDA MEDICAL. HE DOESN'T CARE WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING WITH YOU, HE IS GOING TO PUT WHATEVER IN THE REPORTS TO SATISFY THE INSURANCE COMPANIES, NOT HIS PATIENTS. HE TREATS YOU FINE IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CLAIM AGAINST A THIRD PARTY. HE MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE TELLING HIM THAT WHAT HE DID (SURGERY, ETC) DIDN'T WORK. HE BELIEVES HE IS PERFECT AND HIS PATIENTS ARE STUPID.

Excellent skills as a surgeon. Great outcome. Went home 24 hours after Birmingham hip. Returned to work with no problems 6 weeks after surgery.
