Dr. Hazelwood is amazing, knowledgeable and helpful. When I first hurt my back I had seen three other doctors in another state. When I moved to TN, he took over my care and he has helped me more than the other three doctors combined.
He spent more time talking with me, trying different motions and movements to see if he could pinpoint the cause of my pain.
He accurately diagnosed the problem and treated it initially with a rhizotomy. The first one was very effective. The second was less effective. Since I am drug sensitive, I am keen to avoid pain pills. He suggested an e-stem device which has been a game changer. The longer I use it the better it works. I have better mobility, less pain and have actually entertained planting my garden again since 2019 when I first got injured.
Thank God for Dr. Hazelwood.

I was greatly pleased and impressed with the high level and quality of care I received from Dr. Hazlewood and his staff! Dr. Hazlewood was thorough, kind, upfront, caring and professional. Staff was also professional, timely and accurately responsive.
I had been living with daily pain 15 months post MVA, with only some progress, which had plateaued. I was frustrated by the pain and limitations it placed on my life and activity level. However, I am very health conscious and I am personally opposed to taking any pain meds. Dr. Hazlewood referred me to an excellent PT who helped me considerably. He also recommended a drug-free device to help manage and reduce pain. I was absolutely thrilled with these recommendations and have continued to make improvement! I recognize that my health is my responsibility and I am incredibly grateful for a physician I could work with who respects that approach and supports drug-free options. I highly and unreservedly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Hazlewood!

After a neck & back injury, my daily quality of life was at its lowest. I had seen many doctors with very little help. When I met Dr. Hazelwood, I cried because for the first time I felt HOPE! He was so kind and empathic to my pain. I knew at that moment I had a doctor who was going to partner with me in my healing process. He has done exactly that….walking through every hurdle with me. Because of his care, I know longer walk with a limp. I still have some pain but it’s managed, controlled and improving daily. WE have a goal to be drug free in the near future! I would highly recommend Dr. Hazelwood if you are looking to improve your total health. He will help you reach your goals. He’s staff was as supportive & kind to me as he has been. If your looking for a Dr. to keep you supplied in pills, he’s not your guy. If your looking for a “healer” to help you with a step by step plan to improve your quality of life— definitely see Dr. Hazelwood.

Worst doctor I've EVER been to! Forced to see him on Workers Comp instead of really getting treatment.

Horrible waste of time. Doesn't listen. Doesn't care. Doesn't want to help.

this doctor is a workers comp puppet. he hurds you through like cattle and even though he listens to you he ignores what you say. he talks nice to you but when he is with workers comp. lawyers he slants everything in their favor. I am shocked at the few good reports I saw here , must be a friend of his. haha i would strongly suggest that you avoid him.

I have read some of the negative comments and I have to disagree.
I went in for a nerve conduction test (worker's comp).
The staff was friendly and prompt. They explained exactly what was going to happen during the procedure and the level of pain/ discomfort I could expect.
Dr. Hazelwood was very friendly and warm and throughout the whole procedure, kept asking me if I was okay, etc.
He also made sure that I didn't have any questions or concerns,
I thought he was great.

If only I'd found this site 15 months ago I would have been fixed by now. I am an RN with a work comp injury and despite TWO MRI's that showed a tear in my shoulder this doctor told me that my pain was psychosomatic and he could refer me to a psychiatrist to deal with my anger if I'd like. I actually suffered a Type IV Slap tear to the labrum of my shoulder that extended into my biceps tendon and am 7 weeks post-op at present. If you are referred to him for Work Comp I recommend that you avoid him at all costs.
