My husband had a 10:15 appointment. It was 12:30 when we left this office. Not once did any staff addréss this, apologize or explain. The Doctor came in after 12 pm and spent 5 minutes with him and again, no apologies or explanation about being 2 hours late! He left room stating a nurse would be right in. No nurse appeared until my husband went out and stated he was now 2 hours past his appt. As a former nurse coordinator in a large medical office I find this lack of caring totally unacceptable.

Dr. Nikolavaky in Urology, is refusing to even meet with my transgender wife. She is retired military, 100% disabled after serving her country in the Marines and Army, suffers from PTSD due to her military service, and also suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder. Apparently the "esteemed" doctor is prejudiced against my wife because she has been in the VA psychiatric unit, trying to deal with her demons. This is totally unacceptable and unfair. Her life and well being, both physically and emotionally, depends on her getting her reassignment surgery. She is working with a psychiatrist, a socal worker who is helping her with DBT therapy, and she has a strong support network through the Syracuse VAMC, not to mention me, as her advocate. Still, Dr. Nikolavsky refuses to even meet with us, despite both of us and my wife's psychiatrist writing letters to him. He should be ashamed of himself.
