Dr. Stevens has years of knowledge, but he can be very rude and sarcastic which isn’t necessary.

Dr. Stevens is amazing. I'm stunned at the poor reviews as I found him helpful, supportive and unbelievably thorough. I have spent over 10 years in pain and suffering from the strangest symptoms including dislocating joints, migraines, severe back pain, issues healing, multiple hernia's, and issues with surgeries causing more damage than they solved. Dr. Stevens spent nearly a full hour going meticulously over my background and history and diagnosed me with Ehler's Danlos, a fairly rare genetic disorder. While the outlook with this disease is not good, I am so relieved to know what is wrong. Suddenly a very weird and disconnected medical history made sense. Because of Dr. Stevens, I'm seeing the right doctors, and my current doctors now understand what is wrong and how to treat me. I would also say that the office staff is cheerful, helpful and very professional. I owe so much to Dr. Stephens and would recommend him unconditionally.

I spent a year with Doctor Stevens. Just kept treated me without listening to knew symptoms. He was rude at times and i agree his sarcastic behavior is a put off. I never felt i could get comfortable with him as his personality changed from visit to visit. When I finally wrote down some concerns he told me to move along because he was going to throw me out of there soon. That was my last appointment.

I saw Dr Stevens. He has a very sarcastic, dry sense of humor - same as me. Like that, but can see why others would think he is rude. I had a friend who kept insisting I had Lyme disease. I brought this up to him (i'd be sick for a year, couldn't drive, get out of bed and had a 101f fever daily) and he said "there is no Lyme disease in California." Guess what, there is and I have it. He said if "there was Lyme in California, they'd market the medication here which they don't." There is no "medication" for Lyme. It's treated with antibiotics and naturopathic drugs which can sometimes take years. Shouldn't he have at least known there is no "medication or vaccine" for Lyme. I'd say that's pretty incompetent. He said it was a virus which would go away and just hydrate, take tylenol and enjoy life. I'd never recommend him. But did like his personality for what it's worth.

DR STEVENS IS AN AVERAGE DOCTOR BUT HAS SUCH A NASTY, OFFENSIVE, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE PERSONALITY & MANNER THAT HE IS UNBEARABLE! THERE IS JUST NO NEED FOR IT & HE IS WELL KNOWN FOR IT IN MED COMMUNITY FOR IT AS WELL. HE HAS MADE ME CRY IN HIS OFFICE ON SEVERAL OCCASSIONS - NEVER HAD THAT HAPPEN BEFORE. HE IS JUST SCARY & WEIRD; HIS RUDE MANNER & SPEECH COMPLETELY TAKES AWAY FROM HIS HELPFULNESS AS A DOCTOR. HE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO CREATE CONFIDENCE & TRUST WITH PATIENTS, AS HE IS SO OVERWHELMINGLY RUDE & DOWNRIGHT BELITTLINGLY AND MEAN. HE IS THE NASTIEST DR I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED AND I ADVISE YOU TO STEAR WIDE & CLEAR FROM HIM. IT IS SHAMEFUL THAT A REPUTABLE MILLS-PENIN MED GROUP HAS SUCH A DR ON STAFF (BUT DRS COVER THEIR OWN & DON'T GET INVOLVED). HE HAS SEVERE SUPERIORITY CHARACTER OR PERSONALITY DEFECT PROBLEMS BUT THAT IS NOT THE PATIENTS’ PROBLEMS, WE HAVE OUR OWN! HE WILL MAKE YOU CRY AND FAKE APOLOGIZE -- A TRUE DR. JEKYL & MR. HYDE!! AVOID-TOO WEIRD!

My appt was to assess if I had any rheumatologic issues contributing to my many symptoms and illnesses. He showed undeniable disinterest in diagnosing and follow up of my case. He used what I later found out to be an outdated method to 'diagnose' me with fibromyalgia.Follow up and treatment were quickly deferred back to the referring MD (whom he was aware is NOT a fibromyalgia specialist. He ordered NO lab tests despite how I presented and my hisotry. As my condition worsened I consulted with a neurologist who ran tests and found Lupus and Sjogrens disease; both of which were confirmed by a 'competent' rheumatologist whose care I am presently under. Based on my personal interaction with this man- he has an ego which readily surfaces when a patient dares 'challenge' him with appropriate informed questions especially on subjects that he has no expertise in. For these reasons I cannot in all good conscience recommend this MD to anyone who wants a sound evaluation and good medical care

Dr. Stevens spends more time than an annual physical. He is thorough, up to date, and honest. Definitely a star in my book

Dr. Stevens runs a very professional office. The environment is pleasant as well as his staff. I wish he would be a little more sensitive at times, but then again he is just a guy! He is a very good doctor none the less.

I've been a patient for nearly 10 years. Very up on the latest treatments. His office staff is unbelievably helpful, especially when I had insurance issues.
