Dr Abel is kind and caring, his office staff are the absolute worst.. Disrespectful and rude.....especially Denise Freiji

Dr. Abel is an excellent doctor. I am a registered nurse, and I recommend all my friends and family to him. I have been under his care for 10 years, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. His office staff, however, is less than adequate. They are rude, unfriendly, and only care about the bottom line. I have complained about them for years but nothing has changed. Dr. Abel deserves a top notch staff, that properly reflects his professionalism.

So glad to see all these reviews about this horrible office and its staff. Only care about your insurance and your money. I know its a business foremost but this office has no empathy. If your insurance is not good enough then your not seen. And if you have Medicaid they don't see " those kind of people". Anyone can be one of those people on anyday if their life situation changes. The office manager and her staff are the rudest group anywhere. The doctor may be decent but not worth the bad treatment. Do yourself a favor and avoid them.

Was a patient of dr Abel for over 10 years and found him to be caring and competent. Office staff rude and policies regarding additional charges ($15.00) for prescription form ridiculous. Pharmacy not alloed to contact doctor directly and refills only written during office visit, which you again have to pay for. When we repeatedly complained about being nickeled and dimed to death, we were told to find a new doctor. It's such a shame that dr. Abel is associated with this practice. I feel sad for all the patients who are senior citizens and are being overcharged for forms.

Overlooked an infection for 4 years, which ultimately ended in me needing surgery. Kept trying to give me variations of medications that I insisted were not working. Also, they refuse to call in prescriptions. I also don't think I've ever been seen on time.In addition, they charge you $15 for a letter. A stinkin' letter!! Ridiculous, they run more like a business than they seem to care for patients (this being the staff- the doctors themselves are very nice). Staff has been rude to me more than once (their tone of voice comes off that way to me). Currently trying to find another doctor.

We had been going to this office for 6 years. We saw mostly Dr Kuo but also Dr Able 1 or 2 times. The staff is by far the wost office staff you will meet. They do make it well known that their top priority is your money. I also had a problem with them calling and leaving a mesage with my husband when I didn't want him to know that I had been to the doctor. Some things are just personal and I didn't feel like dealing with the can of wrms that this office staff opened up for me. Dr Kuo is nice but there is a big difference between nice and being a good doctor. He never properly diagnosed my problems and I ended up having to see 2 other doctors and wasted 5 years just trying to get a proper diagnosis. As far as routine physicals go it is basically an EKG and incomplete "complete blood work". If your insurance only allows 1 physical a year you are wasting your money at this office. Would not recomend to anyone in need of a doctor.

My husband and I both use Dr. Abel as out PCP. We both find him to be kind, attentive and knowledgeable. He competently diagnoses illnesses and refers to specialists when necessary. Besides the longer than average wait times, I have only good things to say about Dr. Abel.

I have been with Dr. Abel since 2005, and I am very happy with him. He actually listens, and he then considers options afterward. After I got married, my husband switched to Dr. Abel, and Dr. Abel was the first doctor to truly follow up on his back problems (other doctors simply recommended a few exercises without questioning further). People may have had difficulties with the office staff (I personally haven't), but as a primary care physician, I would highly recommend Dr. Abel.

I've had very little problems with this Doctor. My qyestions were answered to my satisfaction, He listened patiently. As Far as amount paid. I have insurance which takes care of my problems. For which I am very thankful.

I never got a chance to see Dr. Abel. I didn't call back to confirm my appt so they cancelled me. They called while I attended a funeral. I called back the following business day, but got their answering machine. Since I didn't leave a message with "anyone," they cancelled me. They also violated a HIPAA law. They told me about my husband's appointment and he didn't want me to know. He will be seeking further action. They better think this, "I left a message stuff." Not everyone works hours that they can get home and reply. Or, why was I punished because they were too busy to answer their phones. My friend and her family have been going there for years and she too is fed up with them and their new policies. Dr. Freji's wife, the office manager, needs to let someone else handle the office and policies. If they think they are covered with patients just because they "left a message," boy any lawyer good or bad would rip that to shreds. Shame on them how they treat people!
