I have been a patient of Dr. Berry for 20 years. He is thorough, upfront, and caring. I have never had any issues with him. He has a good sense of humor and has always put me at ease. I've had three kids. He was not on call when I delivered. But he has handled all of my appointments during this time. The whole practice is great and he is an excellent doctor.

I am surprised about some of the comments. I have been under Dr. Berry's care for over 13 years and I would never trust another doctor like I trust him. Never rude. Always caring and reassuring. He knows what he is doing and what is best for me.

I recently became pregnant for the 4th time and saw Dr. Berry for my first appointment. I have had 3 c-sections, and he asked if I wanted a tubal during the c/s for this pregnancy. Although it would definitely be our last child, I said I couldn't make a decision with certainty right then. At that point, he became very rude and dismissive. When he performed a u/s, he discovered that the baby was measuring nearly 3 weeks behind. I was charting my fertility and know the exact date I ovulated, but I was told that I probably had my dates wrong. He showed no compassion for my belief that I am likely to miscarry; he obviously thought I was too stupid to know my own body. I asked if a D&C would affect my ability to carry a 4th child to term, and he rudely said that although he couldn't stop me, he would 'insist' I have the tubal afterward. I go back next week to confirm what's going on, but I will ask to see another doctor - and as soon as this nightmare is over, I'm going elsewhere.

Walked in and asked in an annoyed tone why I was there. he asked if I wanted birth control and when I said no ( can't tolerate side effects) he got annoyed and turned his back and didn't look at me for the rest of the time. Total time he spent with me: less than 7 minutes. He walked out of the room and I heard him say to the nurse "That's how I do it, I get them in and out 1,2,3!"

So not responsive. I always had to call more than a couple of times to get my test results. (for 3 tests) Whenever I call, staffs said the test results came out but was not reviewed by the doctor and therefore they couldn't tell me. I did ultra sound and it was a little painful too.

Dr. Berry is horrible at giving pelvic exams! As an uncomfortable pregnant lady, I tried to avoid being scheduled with him because of his techniques. He also scared me (the day before I delivered) by saying that my daughter might be breached, since it "felt squishy." Just what a soon-to-be mom needs to hear. After doing an adhoc ultrasound, everything was ok, but he also failed to notice how large the baby was (almost 10 lbs) and I hadn't even made it to my due date. They would have let me go another week before being induced. In addition, no doctors from the practice (and there are tons of doctors) were on call when I went into labor after hours, but they never told me that they had other doctors who helped them after hours. I will not be going back to the practice for baby #2.

Dr. Berry is a unique personality! He's definitely not a touchy-feely doctor, and I have to admit that when I learned he would deliver my son I was a little disappointed. However, he was great - honest, encouraging, funny (which was fine with me). He expertly handled a few issues I had during and following the delivery. He's a sort of nonconformist and will contradict just about all the other doctors and nurses, which can be frustrating for some people, but these are things for which there are more than 1 answer(I think) so that doesn't bother me. While he's not my favorite doctor in the practice, I have no regrets that he delivered my very healthy, happy son.

Dr. Berry was my least favorite of all the doctors in the practice. I just didn't think he cared enough. I was supposed to have another one of the docs delivery my little boy- but he came a little faster than we thought- I was supposed to start induction at 6 am and my son was born at 5:30 am. I was at 10 centimeters and Dr. Berry was still at Fair Oaks Hosp(I was at Fairfax)- he got there in record time and was AMAZING- it was a fast delivery- no time for an epi and he was wonderful. He wasn't so happy with the nurses who didn't check me until I could feel the baby ready to come out...but he was great with me and the baby!

Dr. Berry delivered my daughter a few years ago and I swear the stuff he said to me still brings me to tears. He was rude, mean and said some things about my daughter's looks that were very uncalled for. I complained at the time and to his credit he did apologize to me but the sting is still there. On the day of the delivery, all the things we talked about before went out the window and Dr. Berry did exactly what he wanted. Even the nurses at the delivery said he was a stubborn person to work with. I don't hate Dr. Berry but I moved onto a kind sweet doctor for baby number two and it made a world of difference.
