Dr. Berry is one of the nicest Drs. you will meet. He is very easy to communicate with & ask questions about different medical issues dealing with GYN issues, tests and treatments. He also has a good sense of humor & makes a patient feel comfortable in the office.

Dr Berry has cared for me during 2 pregnancies and has been amazing! My daughter and might not be here if he wasn’t there the first time. He is always kind and caring. He takes the time to listen to my concerns. That is rare these days.

I would not recommend Dr Barry. I’ve had to see him two to three times during my first and second pregnancies. His demeanor is rude, he always makes me feel uncomfortable, and he doesn’t ever seem to know what he’s talking about. He couldn’t even find my pregnancy on an ultrasound after spending the beginning of my appointment talking about how 70% of pregnancies end in miscarriage in the first trimester. Another staff member had to come in for a second opinion and she found the pregnancy right away and said everything looked fine. This guy has no business in women’s health and reproductive care and should consider retiring.

He’s very rude doctor. Two years ago, I was miscarriaged when I met him and the way he told me was not acceptable. He never care about how you feel. Recently, I called the office and ask questions, they said they will transfer to one of the doctor and I was him. I asked about my concern on Zika since I have to travel to the areas, he just said “whatever the website says, just do it, as simple as that”. That’s it. No other advice. I do not recommend him.

Best OB/GYN in this area. Delivered by preemie baby at 24 weeks as well. Very caring, and knows what he is doing. Staff in his office are great as well.

During my first pregnancy, I was seen by doctors at the Burke location of Capital Women's Care but Dr. Berry was on call when I went into labor. I had never met him before and was horrified by the experience. He did not show up at the hospital until I started pushing because he kept insisting that there was no way I was progressing as fast as I was on my first labor (even though we repeatedly called and paged him telling him how fast I was progressing). He said had "just put some steaks on the grill" so he wasn't going to come yet. He also kept insisting that I should just get an epidural even though I told him I wanted to have a natural birth. He also was extremely rough during the delivery and delivery of the placenta, leaving me with excruciating pain, third degree tearing, and hemorrhaging. He also stitched me up without any lidocaine (because he said "it doesn't help"). I have since had more children and the deliveries were 100x better (and I had no epidurals) and was stitched with lidocaine (it does help). So I hope that this review can help someone avoid the terrors that I went through by avoiding this doctor.
