I highly recommend Mr. Frederick Dirbas.
I have been diagnosed with breast cancer and I am glad I been referred to Dr. Dirbas. You will get answers to all your question and he will tell you best way in your situation, regarding on what you prefer. I had a surgery - double mastectomy with nipple sparing. Everything is going well.
He explained all my options in treatment. Before surgery he referred me to others specialists to make right decision. Some women prefer lumpectomy, but after I got result from genetic test , which showed that I have mutation in DNA - BRCA1 , that means I have 80% chances in my life to have breast cancer, I decided to remove breast tissue from both breast. As of now I have expanders in my breast, my own skin and nipples are survived. Surgery was for 6 hours, but everything went smoothly. After 1 week I came back to work and after 2 week I felt normal.

Dr. Dirbas was a terrible coward and hides behind a facade of being " kind". He may appear meek but he is calculating, and conceals medical records if they show his negligence, and he illegally upcodes visits and bills for preoperative visits with his PA. Check out his lawsuits just in one county alone and see Dr. Dirbas Lawsuit in Santa Clara Court 1-06-CV-077191 DENISE Walther AND kALANOO wALTHER , et al vs F. Dirbas, M.D, and other cases. He is a terrible excuse for a doctor because he is dishonest and fraudulently bills medicare for fees when he knows they should be part of the surgery fee and not billed separately.

Dr. Dirbas is incredible. He takes as much time with a patient as the patient needs. I agree with all the positive remarks below. I recommend him to anyone with breast cancer. You will not get better care than from Dr. Dirbas and his staff.

I cannot imagine a better surgeon than Dr. Dirbas: compassionate, careful, respectful, specific, skillful,and, in general an intelligent mensch. This man cares! Follow up was good, too. Sometimes late, but when he takes so much care with each patient, he's worth waiting for. (Ladies: Don't complain about lateness when you are dealing with your mortality! Just allow more time.)My insurance (starts with a B) was horrible--luckily, I turned 65 and the last 1/2 was on AARP - excellent.

Surgeon Dr. Frederick Dirbas is The Doctor. He has it all: brilliant mind, gold hands, and warm heart. Dr. Dirbas approach dealing with my rare medical problem - fast growing giant breast mass - was the best that patient would want – very cautious, thoughtful, and well plan prepared. Dr Dirbas is very knowledgeable and caring . He was very clear in explaining the risks and rewards of each possible treatment I might choose.He did a very hard case of lumpectomy on my breast since it was very difficult to get clear margins. He did a great job and saved my breast.

Dr Dirbas is the most professional, knowledgeable surgeon I've ever met. I am sure that my cancer was "run of the mill" but he treated me like I was the most important patient he'd ever seen. I wouldn't want to inflate his ego..but really all MD's pale in comparison!

The surgery this doctor performed was exactly what I asked for. There were no surprises in the end; no short-cuts or complications after the operation. He is professional, but with a pleasant slightly humorous bedside manner. Dr. Dirbas was attentive to my comfort during office visits as well as post-operative; he provideds warm fuzzy blankets for patients in exam rooms! He actually said "...if you're not happy, I'm not happy." Well, I have to tell you, I am exceedingly happy with the results of my surgery that Dr. Dirbas 'fixed' to make me feel normal again! He is a genius with a purpose...and he seems driven to excellence. Staff and support people at the clinic are also friendly and efficient. What else can I say... except my decisions were respected and my reasoning and input were accepted as valid by Dr. Dirbas's team. Bravo!

Having many years of experience working with physicians, some are good and a few are exceptional- Frederick M. Dirbas,M.D. is exceptional. One of the most well- rounded surgeons I have had the pleasure of working with. He works with the patient, respecting the patient, does not rush, takes all the time it takes to assist them in understanding their condition, available procedures and outcomes, all with great empathy.
