The exam was incomplete and beyond cursory. She was brusque and inattentive. Very disappointed.

Very unsafe, kept me pregnant for 42 weeks and 1/7(OVERDUE). The department head was seeing her patients while she was on a weekend get away in MS. She ordered her back to deliver me STAT as my baby was having non-reassuring fetal heart tones. Which basically means that the placenta was not supplying the needed nourishment, Oxygen, waste exchange etc due to it being old. She arrived and delivered my daughter at 1:58am. I have had 2 other children in the subsequent years and did not return to her for care. She is very sweet, she made a very poor decision to put off delivering me before she went off for her get away. I work as a RN and I would see her in the hospital I'd speak to her but never again returned to her office for so much as a PAP smear. She is very sweet but could never ever practice on anyone that I love or even know.

Absolute BEST OB/GYN around. I had to deal with many Dr.'s due to issues, until I met her. She is the one and only, most of she cares as much as you if not more.

Dr. Swain-Jones IS AMAZING!! She really knows what she is talking about, she loves what she does and she really takes her time. Dr. Jones really cares about what is going on with you and does whatever she can to help! I would recomend her to anyone! She is by far the best I have seen in her field. I havent felt more comfortable with a doctor like I do with her. Trust me, go see her!

Dr. Swain-Jones treated me in high school and delivered my second child years later. She was not only the kindest physician with an amazing bedside manner...but she was smart...she would assure me of something and 100% of the time she was correct. She understood that I am fearful of pain and she handled me with care; only invasive if absolutely necessary. Even though she was on Christmas vacation with her family the days after she delivered my son (December 21, 2001), she still came to visit me in plain clothes and I made sure to tell my husband to pick her up some token of our appreciation...Dr. Swain-Jones is one of a kind and I have never found another physician as good as her. If I still lived in New Orleans, no doubt she would be my OB/GYN for life.

Dr. Cathy Swan Jones is remarkable. She is such a good listener and understanding. You feel a genuine care coming from her heart. I told her you are the best doctor I have ever seen and she replied with, "I love what I do!" There is no question she is the best! She has has a few issues here and there with her staff after Katrina she has moved to a better location staff is much better! You feel like Dr. Jones loves you! She will ask you things like when is the last time you had this or that test. Anyone and everyone will love her!

Pre Katrina I heard a lot of good things about Dr. Swain-Jones, so when I saw here signs says that she was back in 2007 and I gave her office a visit. The staff was not organizized like may other businesses during this time. I still went back to her the next year and it was better. At this time she was not delivering babies and I was pregnant so I had to find another doctor. I was so sad because Dr. Swain-Jones took her time with every patient. However, in 2010 the staff is excellent and Dr. Swain-Jones is the number OB/GYN in my book. Trust me I know I went to several OB/GYNs to interview them before my planned pregnancy.

The staff after the hurricane is not very good, and even worse not thorough. Made me want to find another doctor. I went to the doctor complaining of abdominal pain and was told i had a cyst, and was told I need an ultrasound and needed to start birth control immediately. Less than One week later (after being on the birth control)I visited another doctor who informed me that I did not in fact have a cyst BUT I WAS 8-9 WEEKS PREGNANT! I could not understand why the staff could have not noticed the obvious when in a basic check up, they are supposed to run a urine/pregnancy test. The other doctor told me that this was a very basic over site that should not have gotten away..I will not be returning to this office! Dr. Cathy is very nice but the service is really bad.
