I saw Dr. Maghsoudlou when he was in Southampton and thanks to him and his education and vast knowledge I finally had the diagnosis that I had been telling my primary that I had for 5+. I had been bit by a tick almost 6 yrs ago , bullseye rash . high fever. and that mack truck worse then flu feeling and had been place on a one week round of oral doxy at the time, they did not do a lymes test before doing so as my symptoms were pretty obvious. After the lame one week round of Doxy I never felt right again. For years I just felt like garbage, I kept going to my primary and telling her that I did not feel right since the tick bite. Over the years they just put me on antibiotics for sinus infection, this infection that infection and then would say they I did not test positive for lymes (antibiotics will hide the lymes) Then I got bit again about 1.5 years ago and my health got increasingly worse from there. Due to continual migraines and speech issues that had developed (at this time still telling my primary that I think I have lymes but not being listened to ) I was referred to Dr. Maghsoudlou simply because he was in the same practice and he is the one who went over my medical history thoroughly and acknowledged what I knew all along. He started me off by giving me the materials to educate myself about the disease and had me change diet and started me on supplements that helped quite a bit. I had gotten so bad that I had started to loose my hair, Dr. Mag said that I needed to be on IV antibiotics but his hands were tied because the practice has an issue with lymes treatment (not his words mine, I say that because there was another md years ago that was trying to make strides with treating lymes and was railroaded out by some of the same people) He told me to do what I needed to do to get treated, even if that meant seeing another neurologist. I did and he placed me on two rounds of antibiotics and I am finally starting to feel a little more like my old self, Thanks to Dr. Mag finally diagnosing me correctly. People need to wake up about lymes, there are a lot of MD's out there that would rather treat the symptoms (I suspect kickbacks from big pharma). I am very grateful to Dr. Magsoudlou and I pray that he will be practicing somewhere close to where I live again soon.

Well, The "doctor" said I had Lyme. I never had Lyme disease. Gave me a pain patch that put me in the emergency room. Burned me from the inside through my whole body. When I called to tell him what happened they had already closed the practice in E. Stroudsburg. The patch that was given to me went through my whole digestive system, which in turn burned my sinus cavity, my going to the toilet abilities, my tongue was as smooth as a babies rear-end & 5 years later I am still getting the chemical taste in my mouth. He left NO forwarding information or phone number. I was "supposed" to be monitored by the doctor while on this patch.. So thank you so much for making my life even more painful & misdiagnosing me Behzad Maghsoudlou! I will NEVER call you a doctor.

This doctor did take Medicare, but when they dropped their payments even lower, he opted out. However, I believe he only charges His former Medicare patients only $75 for an office visit, which is very generous of him. He truly cares about his patients and listens to all they have to say, which is one reason he is such a good diagnostician.

Dr. Maghsoudlou was the only physician out of the 20 some Doctors I had seen who had any idea as to what my illness was. To others, I was either making it up, had an unknown neurological condition which needed to be monitored until they could determine what is was, or I was misdiagnosed with possible Lupus, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, etc. Most Doctors turned me away when they couldn't diagnose me and simply would refer me back to my PCP who had no idea what to do. Dr. Maghsoudlou has been sympathetic, an excellent listener, and always included me and my husband into how my treatment was to be managed. He diagnosed me with Lyme and a Co-infection and it has been a slow, long road which he has traveled with us each step of the way. He has called me evenings on weekends whenever I have had questions or concerns about my illness or treatment and has always educated us regarding the illness and encouraged resources for our own research on the topic. He is highly recommended by us.

After going to Doctor to doctor and all the doctors couldnt find out what was wrong with my husband yet he was unable to walk and the doctors diagnosed him with a mental disorder. We sought a 2nd opinion with Dr. Maghs. He impressed me right from the beginning. He was sympathetic to what we endured with past doctors, sympathetic with the extreme pain he was eduring. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. He has saved my husband and i from the unknown and is concerned with his care of medicine. I would recommend anyone to this doctor, he is our savior!!!

Diagnosed me with Lyme (most of his patients seem to have Lyme... He seems to push Lyme meds on everyone) after taking a ton of meds for 6 months and getting MUCH worse, he told me he could no longer treat me as my blood work didn't show Lyme but he thought I did. I guess his bosses got wind of what he was doing and told him to cut it out. The next thing I knew I got a letter telling me he was leaving the practise and starting up somewhere else. Oh and what was wrong with me? I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia (oh and all those meds made it worse), I'm now being treated by a REAL doctor and I'm starting to feel MUCH better!!! Don't go to see him, he'll tell you have Lyme when you dont. My girlfriend was alson told she had Lyme, given all the meds, finally sought a 2nd opinion and she has PARKINSON'S!!!! Seriously, don't go to this quack...
