I am so very disappointed with the experience I have had with Dr. Mangat and her office. I have had a speciality service which had required me to periodically Return for maintenance. On my most recent visit, the assistant informed me that Dr. Mangat did not wish to see me return, and I can only imagine this being due to my seeing a different dentist for cleaning (who is in my neighborhood). I was forced to find a different dental office who is now happily looking after my care, regardless of who I see for dental cleanings. Serenity used to be a warm and welcoming place, until all of the office upgrades. Once this happened Dr. Mangat became egotistical, cold, and began majorly overcharging (I am sorry, 7 minutes is NOT a reasonable unit scaling time, that’s greedy and borderline criminal).

Very rough handling of my teeth. Consider going elsewhere. Once left a blue dental fabric deep inside the gum line on an adjacent tooth which worked its way out about 2-weeks later...I thought it was just sore from the surgery. When I mentioned this to them (at front desk, then the assistant in the room) at my next cleaning, they did not respond, nothing, no comments at all, they just looked at me with blank stare and then went about their business.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Wisdom tooth removal, she was sending me to a specialist due to the shape, position and roots of this tooth. Day before she changed my appointment and told me to come to Serenity Dental instead. Confused, my husband took me there and stayed with me as usual. I had been asked during the initial appointment planning if I would be alright being sedated as it would be requirement to remove the tooth. However when we got to Serenity, I was informed I would not be sedated and barely frozen. I requested it again and was instead given a powder under my tongue that did nothing. Dr. Mangat then proceeded to try to remove my wisdom tooth like jacking up a car to change the tire. I was sobbing in agony, my husband was furious and asking her to stop as I was clearly in pain, however she not only kept going, she continued to tell him and myself I was not feeling pain, I was feeling pressure from the tooth. Randomly during the procedure she would leave me to go work on other patients and did not refreeze my mouth when she returned. It was so bad of a scene, my husband tried to film it. My surgery was at 9 am. I was finally free from torture at 1:30 pm. The end result of this ordeal was a broken jaw, tooth and jaw shards not cleared out, a severely damaged Tri-geminal nerve; which had been tangled with the roots of my tooth and the entire left side of my face so swollen and bruised I looked like the elephant man. I was sent home with no pain relief, no antibiotics, and five pills to help with swelling, which did not help I may add. I could not open my jaw for four weeks and have permanent nerve damage called 'Tri-geminal Neuralgia'. My jaw clicks and dislocates constantly after being broken. Do not go to this dentist! I wish I had not and wish I had asked more questions and voiced my concerns. Thankfully my new dentist is aware of what happened and my issues and nerve pain. And my neurologist has been a big help with easing the pain I endure daily thanks to Dr. Mangats severe disregard. Dr. Mangat, you need to stop. Please.

Dr. Mangat was very friendly and informative UNTIL I told her I have a small dental plan and all these expensive procedures she wanted me to have done were not affordable for me and I chose to just have the tooth extracted. Her whole attitude changed. She was rough and demeaning and spoke to me as if I was a child, very condescending. She yelled at her assistant, a young woman, right in front of me. I'm sorry to the staff that have to put up with her. I'm grateful they were able to see me quickly, but will not be returning to endure her rude bedside manor.

I had been a very devout customer of Dr. Mangat. Over the years, the quality of care has slipped and gotten very bad. The nicer the office has become, the more expensive the prices have become, and the less friendly the dentist has become. I used to feel as though the dentist was thorough (looked in my mouth, assessed dental health, etc after hygienist was done). Now she runs between three or four rooms, talks over me to the hygienist about other patients in the rooms beside me, without acknowledging my presence, asks the hygienist if everything looks fine, rather than checking herself. I understand she may be busy, but patients are still people and deserve time and attention paid to their dental health, especially at such steep prices. I am. Ore than a walking dollar bill.

Waited in the room for 45min-1hr before the work started. Hygienist put numbing gel and by the time they got to me it was gone and before I know it Mangat tells me to open and there’s needles in my mouth. Sloppy job as well. Had glue or cement or whenever all over my top teeth (when she was working on the bottom) that I picked off at home. Ridiculous.

When I started out as a patient of Dr Maingat’s, I felt valued, I never felt rushed, and things were done ounctually. Over time, this has drastically changed. Not only have my treatments gotten more expensive, but I no longer feel valued. I wait for a minimum of 45 minutes past my appointment time, in a dental chair to be seen. I only see the doctor for maybe 30 seconds, and in this time, exchanges have gotten cold. I feel as though the assistant and doctor talk over me instead of to me. These days I feel more like a walking dollar sign than a person. Now, Dr. Maingat is a very friendly person, and I do appreciate that dentists do need to charge to make a living. I also understand that the pandemic sometimes brings the worst out in medical offices; however, I really would like to see her and her team go back to putting patients first. If this were to happen, I’d return in a heartbeat.
