I tried to establish care with Dr. Rubeis after having a pain management MD that was wonderful for the last several years (I changed insurance and had to change MDs). I have been both a patient and an employee (Social Worker) of the healthcare profession for many years and I have to say that he was the worst, least compassionate example of a "doctor," I have met. He spent less than 3 minutes in the office with me for a "new patient" appointment, never reviewed my outside records or medical history, and never discussed the treatment plan with me (I had to find out by asking his office assistant when I was out in the waiting room). He was uncaring, inconsiderate and rude. I can not emphasize more- DO NOT go see this doctor!

Very professional and knowledgable. Understands that his patients time is just as valuable as his. Always prompt. Office runs very smoothly. Understands the physical aspect of chronic pain. It's nice to know that a good pain management MD realizes that addiction is the emotional need for drugs.

Dr. Rubies didn't see fracture in the back from my MRIs and Xrays. All he wanted to do was give an epidural shot which could've caused me to further injure myself since I wouldn't have felt the pain.
