The waiting time is very long about 3 hours on the average, once a person has an appointment. However, this Doctor took the time to truly listen to me, and focused on me as a patient. So I was very pleased to have finally found a Doctor that listens to patients. She was polite, professional, and very helpful to me and I am very thanksful for that!

I am so frustrated with the wait time and the fact that I don't feel I am receiving the medical care I need. I am a chronic pain sufferer who manages my pain on a daily basis with no medications whatsoever. When I came to Dr. Preston with a new problem, one that is causing me severe pain, I was told to "get a massage, sit in a hot tub and go to physical therapy." I am ok with doing all of that, but in the meantime while I'm waiting in agony for those things to help, I would appreciate some short-term pain relief. I am frustrated as I have been a patient for 9 years. She should know if I am asking for pain medication, there is a reason. I can't sleep and told her my pain level is an 8. I'm looking for a new doctor. The wait time in her office is unacceptable. Minimum no matter what, you will spend 2 hours. I have waited for 4 hours before.

I love her staff, and very much appreciate the prompt response when I need urgent care. However, I have rarely gotten out of her office in less than two hours, even when my appointment is first thing in the morning. I don't always remember what my appointment is for, and I'm thankful that her staff is able to check it in the computer. It does bother me that the doctor does not seem to check the whole record file for continuity of care, and relies on me to remember what I'm there for and to ask all the questions I need to ask. In general, I'm happy with her and would recommend her to someone with few or mild medical needs; I just can't remember everything and need a doctor who won't rely on me to do so.

First visit you must sign agreement of her office visit routine. Roughly and in my own words: 1.Exam room - she will listen and take note of your symptoms. 2. You will rtn to waiting rm or stay in exam rm while she goes to her office to prepare a "plan of action". 3.You will receive your plan. 4. Cashier will make any lab/xray appts needed and you pay. During appt you may not discuss anything other than the reason for that visit. You must make an appointment to get the results of any tests and you cannot discuss anything except the test results during that appt. If you forget to ask for Rx renewal, make another appt. There are more rules, but this was the jist. I assumed the "plan" would be presented by the dr. No. After a long wait, you are called to the cashier, given "plan" (Plan = lab/xray rq forms, Rx's, printed info sheets on ailments she thinks you have, etc) and you pay. You don't see the doctor again until next appt. Extremely slow process. Robotic.
