We have been with Menkin for 19 years and will continue seeing him, I like his straight forwardness, and has helped our children out with many diagnosis. He is very knowledgeable and will continue use him as a DR so that my children have the very best care.

dr allen menkin is arrogant obnoxious rude and condescending. i am going to complain to my insurance company about him. i will never take my child to this practice again.

Dr. Allen Menkin is one of the most unprofessional doctors I Have ever met. He is condescending and he thinks he's the only game in the area. We mentioned second opinion and he told my husband that " we would have a very hard time finding a dr. with more experience than him" my daughter is seeing a new Dr. In a new office. Stay Away from this Dr.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. My daughter has been sick on and off with high fevers for three months now. I asked him to write me a script for bloodwork, in which he literally laughed in my face and said "no". In the end, when I asked for bloodwork yet again, he was very condescending and said "fine, I will write for her to get whatever bloodwok you want done, you tell me". As if I'm a dctor!!!! I was so embarassed, I didn't know what to say. And he again said "you tell me what bloodwork you want her to get, because I don't know what to write, this is silly". I will NEVER go back there again. Furthermore, kidding around I asked him if I sounded like a crazy parent in which he replied "yes". VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Highly unprofessional. No bedside manner whatsoever. Removed my 5 year old daughter's wart and claimed she was lying that she was in pain during removal. Told her it was as painful as clipping toenails. Well she doesn't cry when her toenails are clipped. Needless to say we won't be seeing him again.

Waited over 1 1/2 hours for a scheduled appointment. When I asked the Dr. if he was aware of this, he stated "I don't have to deal with this," got up and walked out of the room. Walked into another room and slammed the door. Highly unprofessional at best. I lodged a complaint against this Dr. based on this incident.

DR. MENKIN MISDIAGNOSED MY SON A FEW YEARS BACK. I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH OTHERS IN PRACTICE ALSO. MY SON WAS TOLD HE 'JUST DIDN'T WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL', (HE'S AN 'A' STUDENT AND LOVES SCHOOL)AS HE COMPLAINED HE WAS JUST SO TIRED FOR WEEKS. AFTER FOUR APPTS THERE, DR. FINALLY AGREED TO DO BLOODWORK. BLOODWORK CAME BACK AND I WAS TOLD HE WAS FINE...MAYBE I SHOULD CONSIDER HE COULD BE EXPERIMENTING WITH DRUGS!!!! AFTER OBTAINING A COPY OF THE BLOODWORK MYSELF FROM THE LAB AND BRINGING IT TO MY OWN DOCTOR, IT INDICATED A HIGH POSITIVE FOR MONO AND AS MANY KNOW CONTACT SPORTS SHOULD BE AVOIDED AS SERIOUS INJURY CAN OCCUR. HOWEVER, WHEN AT NEXT APPT AND INDICATE THAT WHY WAS I NOT TOLD HE HAS MONO. THE DOCTOR SAID THAT HE DIDN'T HAVE IT NOW, THAT WAS A PRIOR ILLNESS THAT WENT UNDETECTED. TOOK MY SON TO AN INFECTIOS DISEASE DR. AND WAS TOLD HE HAD MONO, PUT ON BED REST, NO CONTACT SPORTS FOR SIX WEEKS AFTER DOING AN ULTRASOUND TO FIND HIS SPLEEN WAS ENLARGED.RUN FAST FROM THIS PRACTICE!

DR MENKIN AND PLAZA FAMILY CARE ARE TO BE ASHAMED. THEY MISDIAGNOSED MY SON FOR MONTHS! TELLING ME HE HAD A VIRAL ILLNESS WHICH WE ONLY JUST FOUND OUT WAS PNEUMONIA THIS WHOLE TIME. THEY NEARLY REFUSED TO DO BLOODWORK, CLAIMING I WAS CAUSING 'UNDUE' HARM ON MY CHILD TRYING TO FIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH HIM THAT THEY FELT WAS NOT THERE. THEY FINALLY DID THE BLOODWORK AND THEN READ IT INCORRECTLY, SAYING HIS WHITE BLOOD CELLS WERE HIGH INDICATING A VIRAL ILLNESS, HOWEVER THAT IS THE SIGN OF A BACTERIAL INFECTION, NOT VIRAL!!!!!!!! THANK GOD FOR DR. CHI WHO HELPED MY SON! UNFORTUNATELY I'VE HEARD OTHER STORIES OF MISDIAGNOSIS BY DR. MENKIN & DR. CARUSO. SOME FROM YEARS AGO AND SOME RECENT. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING GOING TO THEM, DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!
