I’ve been a patient here ever since I became too old to see my pediatrician and I can’t believe the harsh and rude people that left such awful reviews. They used to be a little less organized 10+ years ago but they will always call back when you leave a VM. People expect instant results and lack patience of any kind so they lash out when they don’t get their way. Dr. Marzella is very kind, caring, trustworthy and listens patiently without rushing you out the door. He’s helped me get through 2 broken ribs, allergy issues and saved my social life when I started getting cold sores that got so painful and big I wouldn’t leave my house. He didn’t treat me like I was a leper, instead he gave me Rx that was strong enough to stop them before they came out and if they did they were 1/10th of the size. I finally felt normal again. He explains everything in detail and separates the truth from the myths and I learned a lot of things I didn’t know. There are times when he is very busy and it’s hard to get an immediate appointment so I also see Dr.Patel who is a great physician. Patel is friendly, knowledgeable and makes it so that you’re not uncomfortable if it’s your first time seeing him. The practice has improved so much over the years and they have such friendly/knowledgeable nurses and staff members. I’ve yet to find a rude employee to encounter there in my 10+ years as a patient.

If you could just see Dr. Marzella you would be pleased, but getting an appointment when you are ill or even a follow -up appointment is beyond difficult.

I don't know how he stays in business. The office staff is the absolute WORST. Beyond rude and unprofessional. They really just don't care. They NEVER answer or return phone calls. EVER. Be prepared to call at least 3-4 times, I cane sum it up in one word- CHAOS -. Doctor allows this nonsense to continue. If your Health and well being is important to you find another Doctor who cares.

In reviewing all the comments I do not understand why Dr Marzella has any negative comments, really. My husband, 3kids and I have been a patients of his for about 16yrs now and thru the many illnesses, check ups, medical issues, etc.. he has been a wonderful, compassionate, knowledgeable and experienced doctor. He is patient, takes his time to explain whats going on, and actually listens to what we have to say. He is an exceptional doctor! His staff is very pleasant and accomodating.

He is a nice man but he is not a good doctor. I have a very bad spine and chest injury and he refused to believe me or diagnose it. He would not approve any tests and argued with me that I was not in pain. I was not asking for pain medicine at all but still 2 years later I'm in pain because he let a full year pass when I had good insurance and could have gotten tests performed. My quality of life is dramatically effected by this and all he says (to EVERYONE - I know several other who use him) is oh you have bad anxiety. You can tell him no it's not anxiety it's pain or it's XYZ and he ties it back into anxiety. - WORST of all is the staff. I had a small balance of $400 that I made a few payments on. They never updated my account and treated me like a deadbeat for not making payments when I was. It took 2 years to get some of the money credited and ended with the Dr. himself calling be about a couple hundred bucks after I'd been going there for 4 years.

The doctor is very hard to get an appt with- I'm never able to get on the phone with a person the first several times and have to keep calling and leaving voicemail. They open at 9:30 but I call at 9:40 and 10 and no one picks up and then I call at 11:30 or 12 and they are at lunch until 1:30 then call at 1:30 and so on. Then they close at like 4:30 or something early. The doctor won't see you right away and you can be waiting at the wait room or after they check your vitals for quite a bit for a 7 min chat. The doctor often layers on unnecessary procedures or check-ups, having you get ultrasound and chest xrays and whatever else he can weakly link to you and then scheduling a follow-up after that. You don't know when you should take it seriously or not- it's boy cried wolf. Meanwhile those extra things come back not covered by insurance and you get a huge out of pocket bill. I wasted so much time and money with his frivolous referrals and check-ups.

I started seeing Drs. Patel and Marzella several years ago as my husband and family have been going to their practice for 20+ years. I have to say that their bed side manor was enough to keep me going/ traveling 45 minutes to see them, but not anymore. The office staff are rude, and do not return calls. Dr. Marzella's answer to everything is a pill, at least Dr. Patel recommended alternate treatments. It is very difficult to get an appointment, although once you do, the doctors and nurses have been very polite and take the time to listen. I've never felt rushed and they're fairly on-time. I don't know what happened, but their standard of care has declined. I have to add they need to start referring their patients to specialist because myself and others included, have been treated by this practice for conditions beyond their scope of expertise. Despite being told on multiple occasions that nothing is wrong, I now have confirmation of conditions that have gone undiagnosed.
