I've been Dr. Spiro's "patient" for at least 8 years and I've never, ever met the man. Made an appointment with HIM, saw a nurse. I'm seen once a year and this has been the case. I usually don't mind, but last visit, I asked about a small pimple on a visible area of my body. Before I knew what was happening the nurse came at me with a piece of equipment that burned the pimple. Well, no more pimple, but there's a hole and a scar that has not faded. Worse than the original acne. Switching to another provider. Guess that's the only way I might actually see a real doctor. Wonder if they billed my insurance for a REAL doctor visit all those years?

I had an excellent experience in this office. The staff was very helpful and caring. I'd been to a few doctors previous, with several diagnosis and treatments. He didn't spend much time, but, knew exactly what I was suffering with. I wished I had gone to him first. He really knows his Derm .

I paid $60 for an incorrect diagnosis after he spent two minutes with me, barely glancing at my skin. He told me I had flea bites - I knew this wasn't the case, and he was not willing to consider it might be a different issue. After my appointment, I had my cats checked out at the vet, confirmed they don't have fleas, and sent the documentation to Dr Spiro, who probably could have cared less. I've read similar terrible reviews. He's probably only still in business because of a lack of dermatologists in this area.

I love this doctor and his nurses however, his secretary staff are miserable and are never accomodating to important appointments. They interrupt you on the phone and have no interest in your health issues.

Had two moles removed on two separate visits. He is a good doc who is rough on the edges. No problem with that, some may though. Very effective & efficient, with little or no scaring.

Made an appointment with Spiro to get some moles taken off. I had two taken off on my first appointment. After I finished and was paying my co-pay, I find out I didn't even see Spiro, but an intern!!! I was never asked if I wanted to see an intern. Very sneaky!

Staff caused significant face scar and doctor took years trying to treat cyst with shots (surgery needed) so now am with better a much dermatologist. I truly believe any other dermatologist would be better. SO wish I had left this practice years earlier.

I saw him several years ago and he seemed most interested in selling me his own concoctions than in treating my actual skin problems. Then he prescribe topical T-stat lotion without checking my list of allergies which also included tetracycline (the ingredient in T-stat). Boy was my face a mess! Never went back after that fiasco.
