I realized Dr Alam was ordering tests that he conducts in his office that were not needed and billing my insurance company. He is knowledgeable but not personable and it seems he is in it for the money...at least that's the vibe I get from his staff when I question them when he leaves. There are better doctors that don't order needless tests in Oconee.

There is definitely some kind of sabbatoge campaign going on against Dr. Alam on here, with all these recent reviews obviously written by staff. I go there almost every week and I know that there was a lot of change over in staff lately. Shame on whoever this employee is for being childish and unprofessional and downright filthy. It's obvious why you were let go.
On the other I'll have you know that Dr Alam has treated my extended family and half the town friends for as long I can remember. Everybody I know says he's the best doctor and had never had a problem with him. He dealt with some tough issues my mother had a few years back and saved her life. We love this man and are blessed to have him in our town.

Terrible office! Wait time is ridiculous and he orders tons of tests that aren't necessary. Be prepared to not be able to get an appointment either when you're sick or need to be seen in a timely manner. He sends everyone to urgent care for visits outside of your checkups. Staff is rude and unprofessional. I don't think some even have the proper training for their jobs. New faces every time you go!

Dr Allum is well known in this area to be the worst Dr around. I wish Id have known this before my horrible experience with him. The wait times to get in the office averaged an hour or more. Often in would be another hour or two for him to even get in the office after i was sat down and had my blood pressure taken. Anytime I ever had a concern about my symptoms or health he would disagree and/or never mention it. He would make diagnoses without any sort of an examination. Worst bedside manner Ive ever experienced. I always felt like I was being treated like one of the heard of cattle moved through his office. Eventually I requested to see a different Dr in his practice. I was assigned to Dr Gosnell and the difference was night and day. He actually listened to my concerns and with the medicines provided I was starting to see real improvements to my health and well being. Then, in the month of June 2015 I realized that the reminder list they gave me for appointments had a missing refill appointment date. I called to enquire and go no answer after being shuffled off to the answering machine. I called back a week later and they said the date was for the day after 2 of my important meds where do to be filled and there was nothing they could do to bump me up. Mind you, a refill appt takes all of 5-15 mins. I called a couple more times to see if there were openings or at least ask if someone could stay just a few minutes later to help me. (im bipolar 1 and ocd so keeping things together is difficult for me if thing get all out of order. I have a few other mental problems so it was important for me to at least keep trying to get my meds on time. Just before their office was to close on the thursday before my monday appointment (4th july 2015) the office manager called me to say Dr Allum was dismissing me as a patient. Furthermore, the reason she gave me was I missed two appointments!!!! I missed one appointment with them in the entire 3 to 4 years i had been a patient and that was only because I put it in my phone wrong (the day after. So, to say I missed another appt was a lie. Especially because the supposed appt was for a refill! They had called me once the month before to ask if it would be ok to cancel one of my appt. because they were so over booked and I said sure, to be helpful. I was/am absolutely devastated. My heart hit the floor and my mind went spinning. What was i going to do about my medicine that I would run out of in the next 2 day? I went to the office and was in tears and asked if I could please speak with someone about being a patient there. She said to have a seat and someone would be with me. I apologized to her and said I didn't understand why they were letting me go and that all I did was call to see if they could right out my scripts for me. Well I sat there in tears for about 10 minutes and the police showed up and escorted me out of the building. Absolutely one of the cruelest things that has ever happened to me. I was never rude, didn't use any derogatory words and use any foul language. I was a patient on disability concerned about having my medication on time and rather than help me with something that would have taken less time then calling the police, he chose to do this to me. Dr Allum should be ashamed of his actions. I hope that others will take note and avoid him at all costs. If you ever are considering a doctor and a friend tells you not to see Dr Allum, HEED THEIR ADVICE!

Dr. Tauqueer S. Alam is the best physian in Oconee, South Carolina, he is patient, through is very knowledgable. If it is something he feel he can not diagnose he will referr you to other doctors that he feel can diagnose and treat you. He run test because the medication he give you has to be monitored and if he does not have lab. test there is no way he will know if the medication is doing what it should. We all are blessed to have Dr. Tauqueer S. Alam as our physician.

I worked in the health care industry across the country for over 30 years, as an executive for one of the worlds largest health care products companies. Dr. Alam is by far the best physician that I have ever had. He is not only extremely knowledgeable, he is also extremely thorough. He is very personable and definitely interested in his patients welfare. You never feel rushed during an appointment. Dr. Alam is always willing to answer any questions and he is very supportive. His office staff is also excellent and very professional. I certainly don't know what the problem was with the person that rated Dr. Alam a "1". He probably was some bigot or drug addict who never met Dr. Alam and he certainly wasn't treated by Dr. Alam.

Dr Alam is the best doctor I have ever been to and I am 58 years old. He saved my life last year when I had a very bad heart condition. He is so knowledgeable about every thing. All I have to do is tell him my symptoms and he always knows what medication or treatment that is best for me. I would have died after having a valve replacement because I became dehydrated, had pneumonia, CHF and afib but he was able to treat me in his office every day for a week and it helped me very much. His staff are very loving and caring. Love him very much he is the best.
