I have seen Dr Hixson through 2 pregnancies and she has been wonderful. She is caring, answered all my questions and always available too me. My Husband really respected her and how he explained things to him. I am shocked at what some others have said. I would not see anyone but her

I have been to her office a few times. The very first time I went to her, I called ahead because I was just starting my cycle,and the lady on the phone told me oh, she can still exam me, so I went in and she was not able to exam me that day, and she still took my co $20. I went back to her a few other times, and she was like you are not getting any younger, when did I want to get pregnant? OK, she wanted me to go to a fertility clinic, she didn't even draw blood, nothing no other tests were done, I may not even have to go to a clinic, but why would she recommend me to go to one, if she hasn't even made an attempt to check the problem if there is any. I changed doctors, I was not comfortable with her being my doctor, so I found another one..

My experience with this doctor was quite pleasent. Yes, i did have a wait but i didn't mind once i was called back and the doctor took her time to meet me and discuss my issues. Her staff was very nice and the nurse even appologized for my wait even though i know she couldn't help it. The staff and doctor made me feel quite comforable!

Overall a very good experience. Doctor ran behind schedule but what Drs. office doesn't! staff was helpful and understanding to my needs.

This is the worst office I have ever been to! The Dr has cancelled 4 of my last 3 appointments. I am 9 weeks post op and I should have seen her at 4 weeks post op. Every time I have an appointment she is out of the office and needs to reschedule. Never seen anything like the waiting room or scheduling issues.

The Dr herself is pleasant and knowledgeable....when you can see her! Her front office staff is horrible. She runs hours behind on her appointments and the front staff never lets the patients know. The waiting room is horrible. 2 rows of chairs staring at each other with no music. Every Dr should make it a practice to call patients who have appointments and let them know when the Dr is not even in the office! I've gone there 3 times now and the first time she was 2 hours behind. I would have left but I had to see a GYN that day. The 2nd time she wasn't there and the staff didn't let us know until 30 mins after she had been called away to an emergency. Today was my follow up after surgery and she was not there and the staff didn't let anyone know. I heard 1 staff member asking another when she was expected back in the office so I asked about it. I left...my time is just as important as hers. I have lived in many places and had many Dr's and this is the worst run Dr's office ever.

I saw Dr. Hixson three times for my first pregnancy before switching doctors. She never called me by my name in any of the three visits, and at the first visit, she didn't introduce herself or acknowlege the presence of my husband. Her physical exam was rough and painful. In three visits, she never asked how I was feeling and didn't want to take time to listen nor thoroughly answer questions. The final straw came when all my friends who were pregnant or had been before said that the doctor listened to the baby's heartbeat every visit beginning at nine weeks. I was 16 weeks pregnant and she had never checked the heartbeat. If you want a doctor that acts remotely interested in you as a person, or in the fact that you are pregnant, do not choose Hixson.
