I just want to comment on some of the people on here before touching on my thoughts about Dr.Nancy Cross. People seem to be so overly aggressive towards her and say things about her in which I never saw as a patient, she treated me for a few years until I moved back to the states.I came here to see how she was viewed over the past 5 or 6 years since I have been away.I can honestly say one thing, she never rushed me out the door, always took the time to address my concerns and pain issues that I have had since 1993 from a helicopter crash I was in. As far as how she dresses, that has nothing to do with her as a professional, nothing wrong with a woman who takes pride in her appearance, she has always been very well dressed and a nice looking lady.I don't understand why someone would hold that against her. She is kinda on the strict side but I for one am glad she is because there are so many Doctors who just throw pain meds at anyone who walks through the door, which is why it is hard for some people who really need help to get it sometimes, because of the people who have a pulled muscle or something simple,or temporary and expecting to be on meds long term for it. I would give anything to have my health and physical health back that I had before my helicopter crash.I never had to take so much as an aspirin before my spinal cord injury. I hate being on meds but now...20 years later after my injury and scoliosis have set in really bad to the point, it is difficult to walk very far I don't know how I would get by every day without the help of Doctors like her who are compassionate about what they do. I tried injections before meds and was not a good candidate for it because of the way my spinal cord injury left my back. So if you need a great Doctor who is good at what she does, and sees through all the BS patients coming in for the wrong reasons then she is as great a Doctor as anyone could ask for, people should be glad she weeds out the pill seekers with no real problems, otherwise she would not stick around for the long term if she were so willing to pass out medication, or improper care or treatment to just anyone who walks in the door. Nancy Cross is the real deal, she is a legitimate pain Doctor who is there for those who truly need help and have real issues. So find another Doc for those of you looking for a quick and easy place to score pain meds, because she won't tolerate BS!! CHRIS H.

Dr. Cross seems to know her stuff, but is kind of weird and quirky. She commented on my underwear!

I recently seen Dr. Cross for lower back pain, and in 2 visits I feel like a new person. Her staff is professional and caring, and take the time to know the patients. Great job

I went in for urine test pre-screening and was accused of bringing my own urine in. I am 52 and was so hurt only because I was in her care years ago with no problems. Now she has some awful nurse who is just unprofessional. When did DR CROSS become GOD? She needs new glasses and dress more like a woman than a teenager .

After her nurse practitioner and she went on vacation during the Thanksgiving week, telling no one, I called on a Monday for a prescription refill fully knowing it could take a week. The next Monday I went in and no Rx was found. I live about 20 miles from her office. The staff called Sarah, her nurse, told her I was in obvious pain and she said she "would call me when it was ready". I couldn't take Motrin for pain as I was going in for surgery in Anchorage to HER surgeon. The only thing I could take was tylenol and the opiate prescribed me by Dr. Cross. Also, she didn't have the know-how to do an epidural for this leg pain I am having. I went to Seattle and they took care of it in one visit. The surgery by HER surgeon was a mistake and I am not glad I had it done. Seems she is too good for me now that I have gone elsewhere for treatment and do not use her PT people upstairs as they are too non-aggressive for me.

i was recently seen by dr cross for a neck injury. she glanced at my paperwork ,told me she couldnt treat me due to the anti coagulants and anti-depressants/anti-anxiety medications. i attempted to tell her my cardiolgist informed me i could stop taking the warifin ,she didnt even try to listen and declined to explain any thing concerning anti -anx./dep. meds .she was rude, impatient, and did not show any sympathy for my constant severe headache. she did not offer any alternatives. she just walked out. i have now been in moderate to sever neck pain and suffer a constant headache for almost a year, to the point of considering suicide. (if my condition does not improve significantly improve by oct23 2013 that option goes back on table)i do not like taking pain pills but thanks to dr.cross i am slowly but surely becoming an opiate lover. i wasnt even offered a follow up or alternative options. gotta go now and eat some pills. thank you so much dr.cross mccannmichael06@gmail.com

She is a wonderful doc and until I got sent to her I just got shuffled around. She knew what was wrong, explained it to me in depth, and was always helpful. Her staff is very caring and knew what they were doing as well. I would go again if needed and recommend people to her.

Dr Cross wasn't bad. But, her staff was the worst ever. They think that they should be treated like gods. They are mean and bitter. The retired military lady is a jerk. She's a fat old grumpy woman. The nurse is bi-polar and thinks shes better than everybody else. They hire idiot receptionists every other week who don't know how to manage appointments and patient information over the phone. The staff needs to understand that the patients at this place aren't always the most cheerful bunch. Maybe accept that sone patients aren't happy and in constant pain!!!??
