Dr. Jiang has provided excellent help for a number of years now as I have navigated my way through different phases of knee arthritis and attendant issues. He has been remarkably sensitive to my desire to avoid - if possible - replacement surgery on both knees even as they continue to deteriorate over time. The most recent injections provided much relief, and while temporary it certainly was a blessing. Dr. Jiang is very direct and in my case hasnʼt promised any magic solutions to issues that have been developing overe many years. I appreciate and trust hims 100% !

Saw Dr. Jiang for non steroidal shots for my knees. The staff and he were great; they prepared the injection site so that I would not feel the injection which was a plus considering how I was treated at an another orthopedic clinic in town for the same procedure. Unfortunately, I also have severe back pain. Steroid shots were not an option given my osteoporosis. I asked about pain medication (not my preferred route) and he started me with meds lower on the narcotic scale, and those did not work. I was not interested in taking narcotics that are highly addictive. Surgery is likely not an option either but he gave me no other treatment alternatives. We are going Anchorage to seek treatment. His exam room staff were great; Dr. Jiang was polite but I wanted a doctor that cared and took the time to plan a course of treatment (e.g. if this does not work, then let's go to plan B, etc.). He seemed overwhelmed and I'm not sure he really listened well. He was always in a rush to see the next patient. TVC/FMH Foundation has got to change what they are doing; we have 1 pain medicine doctor that serves a town of up to 90,000 residents. That's untenable. FMH's seemingly continued loss of doctors, refusal to take on new medicare patients, and extremely long waiting periods (to get an appt) or to get a referred elsewhere, is unsustainable. We had hoped to live in this community until the end, but Fairbanks is a medical wasteland. If you can't get adequate medical care then it's time to move.

I was to his office to evaluate a potential herniated disc. He didn't listened too much, and instead went straight to the MRI. He explained to me my situation, but not further checks on me. He then suggested me to get some steroids shots for my back, without any guarantees that would work. The steroids worked for 6 weeks, but the sciatic remained, as explained by him as one of the possibilities. I wish he could have done something else for my case. Also the follow up was minimal, beyond one simple call from her secretary to see how I was doing the following day.
In addition, the billing was astronomical for a procedure in-office that last less than 10 min. I ended up paying close to $2000 AFTER my insurance covered most of the expense, just for one shot of steroids. I understand that doctors are highly trained professionals and should be decently paid, but this is another case of the craziness in which our medical system is submerged. I didn't experience any of the anger described by other comments. He was courteous an knowledgeable with me, although I would have expected not to rush my appointment so much , and listen a little bit more.

He is very rude and Insulting. He made very unprofessional remarks about other doctors in Fairbanks trying to dump their responsibilitys on him. He told me I was a unworthy person and he sees a lot of unworthy people that other doctors seno him. I didn't say a word. I just listened to him rant and rave about others. This was very shocking and disturbing to me.

If I could give a zero rating I absolutely would. Have been dealing with the degenerative back disease for over 20 years by far the most unknowledgeable rudest and outright just worthless Medical Professional I have ever seen

I've been seeing Dr. Jiang for pain management, referred to him by the VA. I have had no issues with him what so ever. He discussed the procedure with me to include any side effects then asked me if this is something I wanted to try. On my second appointment I told him I was having issues with numbness and he did give me medicine to assist with that as well. He had been nothing but up-front / honest with everything. I've read the comments and surprised to hear such things about this doctor.
