I've had Dr Schmitt for both my pregnancies and was lucky to have him deliver my second. I only wish I had him help deliver my first what a difference he made making sure to coach and ensure minimal damage Durning delivery for the best possible recovery while teaching others he is cool, calm and collected and makes you feel at ease! Fantastic doctor you would be lucky to have him as your OB!

I’m torn writing this review because Dr Schimdt was helpful in my first high risk pregnancy but completely dropped the ball with my second. The first time he had wonderful staff and now the staff is mediocre at best.
I felt neglected, forgotten and as though I was a waste of his time. All my concerns were met with a smirk and disregard, very little reassurance. He forgot my preadmit paperwork, my vaccines needed during pregnancy, to go over results of my first trimester tests, etc.
The wait times were also terrible, I would wait over an hour to have 5 minutes of his time.
I think he’s so busy his ability to provide the standard of care he used to is no longer possible. I was truly disappointed.

I’m on my third pelvic floor surgery, complete reconstruction, a last ditch before I have a vaginectomy and remove everything. This is all entirely because he didn’t listen to me. I walked around at 5cm for over a month because “you’re tall, you’ll be fine”. I begged him to take our child early but he refused. I begged for a c-section because my body was not suited for vaginal labour, he refused. I had DiCecco for delivery and he didn’t give me the desperately needed c-section either. He used forceps, snapped my tissues and then didn’t tell me. I saw Schmidt at 6 weeks and he told me it’s all fine. Yeah, tell that to my surgeon in Florida. (Absolutely will not let another indolent, malfeaseous, inept Canadian that bought a piece of paper touch me). I’m in my 30s and facing living life with no identity because of his ineptitude. Please, I am begging you, go somewhere else, if you don’t you may lose your identity, too.

I had him for my second pregnancy and it was truly the best experience he is very kind , friendly and knowledgeable before we left since he didn’t deliver my son he did come in to say congratulations can’t wait to have him for future pregnancies ! Thanks Dr Schmidt

Absolutely would recommend him! He's very calm, knowledgeable, provides you with the information you need to make the right decision. He's capable to guide you in the most stressful time and also able to communicate you with the proper people, if needed. I would love to be followed by him for my next pregnancy.

Two surgeries into trying to fix the mess he created whilst I was expecting. He didn’t listen at all and now I’m paying the price. Really terrible, but he’s an allopath in Ontario so I expect nothing less.

Delivered our beautiful baby girl safe and sounds after a high-risk pregnancy! Don’t believe 1 or 2 rumours, this doctor delivers endless of numbers of babies, ours was painless and we were out in 48hrs after delivery!

I loved Doctor Schmidt. Very kind knowledgeable doctor with friendly staff. I saw him for all of my pregnancy’s as they were high risk. I have three beautiful girls now thanks to this man and his care. Highly recommend him
