I tried to become a new patient, however, the receptionist was EXTREMELY RUDE, demeaning and stated that the Dr already knew how she acts? I simply wanted a Dr in Corpus, however, I have never been so demeaned in all my life with a Dr's receptionist...she would not let me talk to the dr, first said she would set me up with an appt, then stated there were 15 people ahead of me after I explained I didn't like her attitude....What is wrong with people today? Mrs. receptionist, I hope you change your attitude our your Dr's practice will suffer with less patients likely to come to this office, but only b/c of you.

Dr. May is a brilliant psychiatrist who is probably one of the best I've ever seen. Unfortunately, his practice is crippled by a rude, crude, and socially unacceptable office manager. The Doctor tolerates and condones her behavior by his own inaction and nonresponsiveness to the unacceptable nature of his office manager. There are numerous fees for various services that are above and beyond a typical psychiatrist. This is a mental health care practice. I expect courtesy and respect when on the telephone and in person. That's completely absent here. If you can put up with the woman at the front desk, you'll have a great experience. However, she will test your patience and make you feel subhuman. Her tone of voice, talking down to people, and her condescending attitude have no place in a facility dealing with people with mental health issues. Ultimately, I couldn't handle her attitude and went to another facility. I was never able to complain to the doctor.
