He was a good man good doctor, he will be missed. He has been my Ob/Gyn for 30yrs hard to find someone that knows everything about you like he did me. Sad day for a LOT of women.

Dr. Copeland needs to retire! He is mean and doesn't listen. You shouldn't be intimidated and afraid to talk to your doctor. After my last appointment and the way he treated me I'm switching doctors. On a side note I will miss his wonderful staff..

Twenty three years ago, I went to Dr. Copeland with an unplanned pregnancy. I was a single struggling mother to be. Dr. Copeland was compassionate and professional. He immediately diagnosed major issues with my pregnancy-I followed his directives and he delivered a healthy baby for me. The child Dr. Copeland delivered is now an astro-physicist and an amazing daughter. I have her due only to GOD, and Dr. Copeland. I speak from experience. Dr. Copeland is the best of the best! I am currently a patient of his. Actually have an appointment in the next hour. I am currently 36 weeks pregnant. And had quite a few complications. I chose Copeland because he delivered all of my nieces and nephews. And he is strict with his patients. I love that. Odd I know but this man has delivered over 19,000 babies and has been in this field since 1972. So what if he doesn't baby his pregnant patients? I want a doctor that can look me in the eye and say if you continue eating the way you are you will gain too much and baby will be to big. I haven't gained at all but my baby has been doing fine. My sister didn't listen to his advice and her baby was born at almost 10 pounds because of it. Copeland does run through appointments quick but I like it. No fooling around. He is quick to the point and even keeps up to date on everything I have gone in for and called for. He has never been harsh or judged me for any question I have asked. He is always so nice! I have an issue with chronic depression that I was honest with him about on day 1. And he has kept up on my meds as far as that is concerned. Look if you don't want a doc that's up front, quick, thouroigh, and had 40+ years experience or are too sensitive then dont chose him. I chose him for his ability to make sure me and my child are healthy. And after a rocky start due to a bad cyst in my ovary I could have lost my child. But because of Copeland here I am at 1 cm dilated and preparing for my baby to arrive! And side note his staff has been nothing but awesome to me! Awesome job guys!

I CANT BELIEVE ALL THESE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT COPELAND! COPELAND IS THE REASON I HAVE A HEALTHY 10 year old boy!!! HE SAVED MY SON WHEN HE WAS BORN ORIGINALLY A MIDWIFE WAS TO DELIVER AND HE WAS BACK UP DOCTOR THERE WERE COMPLICATIONS AND IN HE CAME TO SACE THE DAY!! I rate dr COPELAND as the best doc around!!! HE IS ONE AMAZING MAN AND HAS DELIVERED THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF BABIES!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!

Dr. Copeland was great during my pregnancy! But after I had my 3 rd child I wanted a tubal ligation! He done the procedure! But I later found out he couldn't find my tubes! A couple weeks later I started having pain in my leg and swelling in my leg. I called Dr. Copeland and he had me come in for his nurse to look at it! All she did was check to see if my leg hada pulse and diagnosed it as a strained syaitic nerve and pprescriped me ibuprofen. A week later I started having pain in my back and chest I told Dr. Copeland and he told me I needed to see a chiropractor because I pulled something. 2 days later woke up my leg 3xs the normal size and blue and purple, I couldn't walk and ended up having to call the ambulance to go to er. I had a huge blood clot in the top of my leg and into my stomach it sat in my leg so long before diagnosed that some clots had broken off to my lungs! Was admitted then transferred to Indy for 5 days and 2 surgeries trying to get clot out! They only got 90% out and told me I was lucky I didn't die by the time I came to hospital! Needless to say I almost died due to Copeland not taking my complaints serious.

I would NOT recommend Dr Copeland to anyone. At first he was a great doctor, but once I hit my second trimester I began to have discomforts and complications. He told me I had an irritable uterus and put me on medicine to prevent labor. This is my first pregnancy so I call scared with problems and he is rude and short and even LAUGHED AT ME one time for a legit question. He rushes during appointments and doesn't let you get the chance to get questions out that you want to ask. He doesn't seem to concerned with you unless you have like the perfect pregnancy. I shouldn't be afraid to call the on call doctor because of judgement but I am. Needless to say, I am switching doctors at 35 weeks because of him...
