I looooove Dr. Karen Perkins. She is very knowledgeable and have an awesome bed side manner. However, her staff does not represent her well. They are incompetent. On my last bi annual exam, I received a $4,000 bill. My insurance covers 100% of preventative visits. They billed it wrong with my insurance...SMH. I am now seeing a Neurologist and they were going to have all of this blood work done. I shared that I just not too long ago had blood work done with Dr. Perkins. I signed the release form, My Neorologist sent it to Dr. Perkins office and requested that my lab results be sent to them. They never received it after faxing and calling them a few times. Each time they called, the person answering the phone, said they would send it but never did. My Neurologist office called me and asked me could I help them retain my lab results. I don't understand how they can be so bad. Although, I love Dr, Perkins as a Dr. I can no longer ignore the incompetence. What if they get my records mixed up or something. I will select a new Gyno and keep checking this site to see if the staff changes or improves. If they do, I will consider going back. Lastly, I do not like how the lab results are reviewed over the phone. I think it is meant to be a good bed side manner touch. But when she called, I was at the gym and could hardly hear her and forgot some of the results she shared. It would be nice if along with the phone call, they send the results in the mail.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Perkins. I've been seeing her since I was 19 and she delivered my son two years ago. Her bedside manor is excellent and she is incredibly knowledgeable. Every question I have ever had she has been able to answer. She's able kind and down to earth. Highly recommended.

Dr Perkins is the best! As a 18 yr patient never had one complaint.

Dr Perkins is great and she knows her stuff, but I think she needs to stop excepting new patients. The wait time is always at min 1hr! She takes at least a week to call you back for results or tests. Not to mention you never get a reminder call for appointments.

I was concerned when I made an appointment based on some of the reviews, but I felt that the staff was good they were pleasant. I was taken back into the room within ten minutes, and felt that Dr. Perkins was excellent. She explained everything to me. I felt well taken care of.

I think Dr. Perkins is an excellent doctor, but her staff is AWFUL. I have been a seeing Dr. Perkins for a few years now and there has NEVER been a time when I was seen at my
scheduled time. My last appointment I arrived with my appointment card to be told no one entered my appointment in the system. Needles to say I was LIVID and had to added to the schedule. Also I am a hypochondriac and I worry about everything and getting a follow up appointment or a call back is like pulling teeth at this office. Also when you visit her please make sure to check the labels on everything. My chart was on the back of the door but the swabs and specimen cups in the room had another patients name on it. Needles to say when I brought this to her attention she was LIVID. Dr. Perkins would have a much better practice if she got rid of her incompetent, rude. ghetto staff members and hire people who want to work and has good customer service. I work in the health care field also and sick people should not have to deal with the attitudes of the staff.

I waited two hours to be seen. I called to get information on how to schedule my ultrasound, no one ever returned my call. The staff doesn't know anything other than how to take your BP. I work in ob/gyn myself and there were things they were completely ignornant about that they should have knowledge of. I think Dr. Perkins hires these girls because she knows they won't get hired anywhere else. They have a whole list of things they are not willing to do for you or in a timely manner. The Doctor is very nice and friendly, completely the opposite of what her staff represents. I would love to be able to continue seeing her but her lackluster staff will drive a pregnant woman nuts waiting for them to do what they should be able to do easily. HIRE SOME NEW WELL EDUCATED STAFF DR. PERKINS!!!
