Dr. Bacal and his team are amazing!! His bedside manner is one in a million. He truly cares for his patient's well being. I've never in my life received three phone calls from a surgeon, personally to make sure I'm feeling better... but Dr. Bacal took the time to do this. I can rest easy knowing that if I have any questions or concerns, I can contact his office at anytime. I have nothing but praise for Dr. Bacal and would without a doubt, recommend him to anyone seeking bariatric surgery!

Amazing is the only word I can use to describe this man. He performed a sigmoid resection on me earlier this year and stuck with me every step of the way. There were days where he visited me THREE times in the hospital and the aftercare was phenomenal. I lost track of the number of times he actually called me at home to update me on things and to just "bounce stuff" off of me. I would trust this man with my life. Oh wait a minute ... I did! I would recommend him to anyone that could use his services.

I went in and saw Dr Bacal regarding a lipoma I had on my rib cage. He suggested removing it. I was impressed with him throughout the pre treatment and surgery with his care and knowledge but once the surgery was over he was done with care for me,the patient. My whole left side was swelled. I was broken out with a rash all over my upper torso and my legs not to mention I was still in pain 6 days later. I called his office to let him know all this and to request a different medication. Honestly, I was epecting him to have me come in and was fully prepard to do so but instead I received a call back from his receptionist telling me to follup up my primary pysician. I would not recommend him and further more I have after over 10 yrs of going to Oakwood Drs changed my medical treatment to another physicians office outside of the Oakwood network. I can only hope that anyone else preparing for surgery with him doesnt get the same treatment I received from him after the surgery was complete.
