This guy is super arrogant...... Basically says I will do surgery and will fix all! That sounded great, but here I am day one after surgery I have permanent nerve damage and did not have it before and it is still here a year later. His fix was to blame my mothers genetics, which is funny that was never talked before we did surgery and he was paid.... He then pumped over 11 epidermal injections in me over the course of 6 months to try and fix it. Guess what no fix. In simple, I know everyone is different, but he was a terrible doc and experience for me and when I asked to be referred to talk to another professional he refused. In short think long and hard before you perform surgery with him as I personally would take my pre-surgery pain over this nerve pain he left me with.

When you are looking for a surgeon, what are you looking for? Someone who chit chats and has an awesome bedside manner or someone who know exactly what they are doing when they cut into your body? I've seen some reviews about Dr. Murray that are less than complimentary and most of them talk about the fact that they felt he was arrogant and had a bad bedside manner. I recently had to have surgery and needed a neurosurgeon. I asked around - in the medical field who they would recommend. Dr. Murray was recommended highly. As a matter of fact, one medical field employee said that Dr. Murray was one of only 4 that he would let touch him. That says a lot when you have medical personnel who are around him regularly and know his work ethic, his complication after surgery percentage, his professionalism, etc. While chit chat is nice, I will always select a surgeon who is top in their field over someone who can carry on a good conversation and make me laugh. On a side note, Dr. Murray was very pleasant as well as every staff member of his. I did not have one person treat me in a less than kind way.

Two lumbar surgeries on me and one on my wife.
I believe that Dr. Murray is a highly skilled and knowledgeable neurosurgeon, however he, like most younger doctor's don't seem to have any compassion or concern for their patients quality of life.
He follows protocol just like a script and doesn't believe the patient knows anything about their problem.
Despite all of this, he is one of the best.
Maybe with time and experience he can treat the patient as well as fix the diagnosis.

Dr. Murray was very thorough, patient, and made sure all my questions were answered. Very impressed, and eased my mind during a very scary time for me. Would highly recommend.

He was in a hurry. Needed my Vns replaced. He said was just changing the battery. I still have no idea if I have the original or just a new battery. He went in the same incision as first one and my Vns is flipping sideways again like the old one and is painful when it does it. They sent me a bill for $1851 and when I checked my insurance form they had billed for cranial surgery. It went in my chest so....I don't know

Get a second opinion before allowing Dr. Murray to do surgery on you. He seemed very knowledgeable and polite prior to doing my surgery, and told me he had 95% confidence that the surgery would correct my condition. A year later and numerous office visits later, I am no better. At my 1 year appointment, he told me that I would just have to live with my condition. He even went on to say that my condition was so bad that surgery had no chance of correcting it. Wait times are terrible. Had a 2 hour wait at my 1 year visit.

This Doctor is a joke. His arrogance is only shadowed by his rudeness to his patients. I had went to see him for a lower Lombard examination, which instead, he x-rayed the back of my neck and said I was fine. Then he wanted need to make another appointment so that he could examine my lower Lombard. He was so brazen that he sent me a bill for an examination that was not even asked to do. He thinks that he's some sort of a healer that as soon as he touches you, you are perfectly healed, and he don't want to see you anymore. Believe me if you can go somewhere else because this guy is no better than a witch doctor.
