Dr.Cripps was a great man,he performed my surgery in April 2010,Ihad a problem in 2014.& was referred to Dr.Ahmed in Mississauga I had more surgery in April of that year.Dr.Cripps was the best,and his staff was wonderful,Good Luck

He took $250.00 from me for a cataract eye measurement, then closed his practice. He never reimburse me for the surgery he did not perform.

Dr. John Cripps & his staff were just the best. My husband first started seeing Dr. Cripps in 1994 when he suffered an eye infection due to a dental issue. He had previously lost sight in his eye due to a traumatic injury in the 70's at which time it was determined the eye be just left there (sightless tho' it was). When this infection flared Dr. Cripps determined the eye must come out. He did the surgery in 1994 & followed up with Ron;seeing him through to the fitting of a very genuine, perfect matching prosthetic eye. This was done through Dr. Cripps referral to a clinic in Toronto. Then in 1996 I was diagnosed with cataracts & Dr. Cripps did the surgeries for that; with follow-up laser surgery in 2012. Our hearts go out to Dr. Cripps & his family as we have been told he has retired due to health issues. We are going to miss his excellent care & our yearly trip for our checkups which were always like going home as we moved away from our hometown of Huntsville in 1998.

I RECENTLY VISITED DR CRIPPS AFTER A SERIOUS WORK PLACE EYE INJURY. I WAS PUT ON TWO WEEKS MEDICATION AND NEVER CALLED BACK TO HIS OFFICE BY THE TIME I MANAGED TO SEE ANOTHER DR. MY EYE WAS IN A MESS. WHEN I WENT BACK TO SEE DR CRIPPS HE DIDN,T KNOW WHO I WAS,SAID HE DIDN'T PERSCRIBE MEDICINE FOR ME AND WAS VERY DISRESPECTFUL. I DONT KNOW IF THIS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE FACT THAT HE IS RETIRING IN A WEEK. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER BEEN TREATED THIS WAY BY A DR. AN EYE INJURY HAS TURNED INTO A FIVE MONTH ON GOING PROBLEM

Referred by optometrist. Pre-op informative relating to condition, prognosis, risks. Both surgeries successful, performed smoothly and on a timely basis. Post-op visits thorough and informative. Dr. Cripps is personable. responsive and listens to his patients.

John and his staff in office and operating room are the most professional people I have met in a long time. Very competent and patient oriented, making sure needs are taken care of. Very informative in the procedure involved. Down to earth individual, meeting a person on common ground, not talking over the patients head.

Requiring double cataract surgery, I was referred to and visited Dr. Cripps office in Gravenhurst. The staff was friendly and very efficient in their routine. It wasn’t long and Dr. John Cripps entered the room with a smile and a handshake, he introduced himself. After examination, without hesitation or arrogance, he fully answered all my questions and concerns, putting me at ease. On the day of surgery the personalble Dr. Cripps assured me everything would be just fine, and immediately after the operation, visited me in recovery. With his warm, pleasant, smile, he ensured me I was ready to leave for home. Dr. Cripps phoned my home and checked up on me a couple of days later. Then two weeks later, I went back to his office in Gravenhurst for my midway exam. All was excellent and this man’s exceptional, knowledge, expertise and skillfull surgical abilities have restored my eyesight to long gone days of the past. In my personal opinion Dr. Cripps and staff are the best.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cripps for a number of years and have found him to be very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He recently performed double cataract surgery and much to my delight the results have been excellent. My only complaint is that on a couple of occasions the wait in the office was excessive, unfortunately this is all too common in an extremely busy practice.I would definitely recommend very highly him if you are in need of this type of attention

Dr. Cripps is outstanding, not only for his knowledge and skills but for his friendly cheerful manner, his willingness to answer questions, and overall his ability to put patients at ease. Though he is very busy, he doesn't rush and make you feel like just a number. He is not only an excellent doctor, he is also a good man. The support staff he has assembled is a credit to him as well.
