please be careful with this doctor and children with acne as he scarred my son with over prescription of accutane and becuase of his misdiagnosis and mistreatment our son has keliods scars all over his face, chest, shoulders and back.

I have been going to this doctor for over five years now - I have seen Dr. Wirtzer and I've seen associates. What I love about Dr. Wirtzer is that whie he doesn't try to push the newest lasers and gadgets on you like most L.A. area dermatologists (in my experience) - he does stay up on the latest technologies and studies. I've found the staff to be friendly and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen. The only cons are that some associates don't seem to stay around for more than a year (I'd make my apppointment directly with Dr. Wirtzer) and the if the small back parking lot is full you have to park across the street. Not a big deal to actually have a dermatologist who spends more than two seconds with you and not just to recoup the cost of his latest device.

I liked my doctor at this clinic (not Dr. Wirtzer), but the staff, their attitudes, and their policies leave a LOT to be desired. From the nurses to the desk staff, very unfriendly, uninformed, abrubt, and unaccommodating.

Totally surprised by the negative review. My toddler was seen today for a rash. They worked us into a busy schedule same day, didn't make us wait long and were very pleasant and accommodating. My son was seen by an associate, but he brought in Dr. Wirtzer for a second opinion and both were very concerned, kind and thorough (and so patient with my frenetic 3-three-year-old!). The office is clean and welcoming with cookies, coffee, cold water out for the patients. Overall a terrific experience. I'd definitely recommend.

I made a same day appointment with Dr. Wirtzer but when I arrived in the office I was told that they gave me the wrong date for the appointment and that they were too busy to see me that day. There was not one patient in the office, yet they would not allow me to see the doctor and told me to come back the following day. The staff was very rude, and had the attitude that it was too bad I was given the wrong info by one of their staff members. Very poor service. I will never go back to this doctor nor would I reccomend him to anyone.
