Dr. Ropeleski helped me with a colonoscopy. He was on time, thorough and patient. He also performed an endoscopy for me several years s a ago a similar good experience.

He's my favorite G.I. doctor and is always up to date on treatments and has excellent bedside manners. He seems to really care about each patient which is sadly getting harder to find.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ropeleski since 2015. The care and concern for my health has been exemplary. My ulcerative colitis has been kept at bay and I have been able to enjoy a healthy robust life. Doug

Simply just doesn't care for his patients. Never have I had a doctor see me 4 hours after a scheduled appointment and do so little for their patient. He ignores my concerns and I feel like I am not being looked after properly. Additionally, he is so difficult to get a hold of; his secretary does not return calls. Overall, I felt neglected as his former patient.

I'm 23 and was diagnosed at 15 so I was super nervous to move onto a new doctor once I turned 18, I was still learning alot about my disease and after a few visits with Ropeleski I knew I had a fantastic doctor who really cares about how I feel on a regular basis even outside of my disease. He explains everything so he knows I understand and we go over options, I have not had an easy go with my health but he never gives up trying to find new ways to help me manage and never seems irritated when something fails. Overall great doctor!

I've only met him a few times; but trust he has my best interests at heart.

I was hospitalized for 33 and never once did he come see me. Thank goodness for his colleague Dr Robert Bechara for taking on my case.

I waited 2.5 hrs for my appt, which I was waiting 14 months for, his 7 mins was limited to suggesting to go down my throat then my appt ended with a Suggestion of a laxative. I have been sick for 40 yrs and he tells me to get an over the counter laxative, colon prep that warns against using with a possible obstruction and constipation...despite my multiple abdominal adhesions

He doesn't listen at all, I feel like I am the patient and he is the doctor and this is what he will do and there is no other way. He is very hard to talk to and not very open to conversations about options in your care.

Dr. R. is an amazing physician. he is kind, caring, listens to his patients needs and is approachable. He has a certain quality about him that makes it easy to talk to him about very personal health problems.

Young and energetic doctor. He seems to be quite concerned with patients' quality of life, which is good for people with IBD like myself. He's open to questions and concerns, unlike many in the GI clinic in Kingston. It is difficult in a teaching hospital as you usually have to talk to a resident before the attending will see you, but he seems to understand that, and makes it clear what he thinks is going on. Plus he looks just like Michael J Fox.
