My initial impression of Dr. Martinelli was that he was a gruff old man who had no business being around small children, let alone performing surgery on their ears. This is because I am a paranoid single father of a little girl, and I'm glad to say I was entirely wrong. Dr. Martinelli is a brilliant physician who takes time to listen to concerns, and will explain (with any level of detail you care for) exactly what is going to happen and what one can expect in the future. He sent a card and a balloon to my daughter after her operation.
