I have asked Dr. Karaban three times to acknowledge reading my concerns. Despite my effort to word them tactfully in a respectable manner, I am surprised he has chosen not to respond. It is hard not to feel ignored and that they want me to fade away under the carpet. Here are the concerns I asked him to read and respond to . I felt very disappointed with their scheduling process and decided to find a different dermatologist. Their answering machine message reminds patients that they will be charged if they miss an appointment, but they called me 15 minutes before my first appointment to ask me to reschedule and then 30 minutes before this second rescheduled appointment a few weeks later to ask me to come an hour later which I couldn't without missing a personal appointment I had made thinking I would have plenty of time to do both if we went according to the original time. So for a third time I asked to reschedule and the woman reminded me to always be prepared for the possibility to wait as long as an hour leaving me to wonder how many more times do I have to go through this before I see the doctor. I know stuff happens and I love being the flexible person that lends a hand, but I thought this was going beyond that when in fact I initially made this first appointment one month ago. I am flexible and a good Joe, but I too am busy and have other people in my life depending on me to meet appointments that depend on this office at some point being able to see me when they ask me to come in.

First appointmnt was yesterday @ 11 am. I arrived at 10 30 to give time to complete paperwork whiched I finished at 10 45. They called me back to a room about 11 25 only to have me wait another 25 min. So by his timw the Doctor is 45 friggin min late. I put on my clothes and walk out office at which time assistant said oh no I'm sorry ill go get him now. So had I not done that, I'm sure they would have had no problem making me wait longer, as if my time isn't as valuable as theirs. Once he got in, he seemed ok and knowledgable but by this time I'm so heatred at the lack of consideration for his patients I just wanted to leave. Upon leaving he says let's do a follow up in 2 weeks. I tell receptionist I will have 2 call later to set up appoint because I was now running late for another appt due to this doctor being late 2 see me. The receptionist then say ok well don't wait to long, the doctor is very busy and his schedule fills up fast. My response, good 4 him, but don't rush me when he wa

The office makes you pay in advance. If you are there later in the day, you will wait between 1-1 1/2 hours just to be seen. Their staff is abrasive, unsympathetic, and unhelpful. Although he has a good knowledge of dermatology, the hoops you must go through before you actually see him is not worth it.

requires a whole laundry list of special fees if you don't jump through the required hoops.  demands your credit card number up front that will be charged for amounts due after the appointment has taken place instead of billing the patient.  too bad if that pushes you over limit and into default on your card.

Horrible staff. They have lots of attitude, seem to hate their jobs, and make you feel like you are bothering them when asking any questions. Dr. Karaban also was nothing special so unless you like dealing with difficult people I recommend going someplace else.
