I have been coming to Dr. Palumbo's office for almost 6 years and it has gone done hill! In the past 2 years my appointments have been moved without notice, so I went on my scheduled appointment w/o knowing change and told I can't see her, and last year I wasn't able to see palumbo so I saw Dr Shannon who is the worst! She told me I had HPV (which I don't) and then told me I had PCOS (which I dont) and told me I might not be able to have children.

I havent gotten to meet Dr Palumbo yet but, the nurse practitioner i have seen twice knows whats shes doing. Was there today and had a biopsy was scared but, she and the nurse were very kind and kept making sure I was ok. Everyone here is always so kind, everything is always so clean and in the waiting area there in a brief sense of calmness. I say brief because you never wait very long.

Too bad UPMC ruined the best department Jameson had to offer. We can see the doctor turnover rate at Horizon will continue to be a problem. Patients actually want and need to be seen by their own doctor. Continuum of care is essential to patients. Patient satisfaction scores are directly related to who sees the patient. They are not related to the facility. When healthcare systems and Insurance companies realize that the doctors are the most important part of healthcare we might have a chance to turn around this mess they created with our healthcare benefits. I wish we had more doctors like Dr. Palumbo who continues to put patients first.

Would not answer questions about her C-section rates. Pushed for scheduling induction before the baby's due date with no medical explanation. Seemed to have no idea how to help a mom manage a natural labor and delivery and was way too focused on monitors & machines. Had an unprofessional attitude toward midwives and doulas. Discussed other mothers' C-sections in the room during a VBAC. Insisted that laboring mom needed to be on her back in bed when pushing, and was generally not helpful during labor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Palumbo's for 12 years. From gynecological issues to obstetrics, Dr. Palumbo has been able to help me every time. And if she is unable to handle a certain issue, she knows the best specialists to refer one to. While the wait for appointments can sometimes be long, once she is in the room with me, I never feel rushed and I can ask all of my questions. I don't blame the long wait times on her though, I would imagine that is the nature of obstetrics. Also, I adore her office staff.

Dr. Palumbo is THE BEST! I had an abnormal pap come back right before my husband and I were about to start fertility treatments. I was a brand new patient and Dr. Palumbo scheduled me within the week. She is so compassionate and knowledgeable. I am so glad that she was recommended to me!! Highly, highly recommend Dr. Palumbo. Also, her office staff could not be nicer:)
