This Doctor is well past his prime. Should have retired years ago. His billing department is way behind, receiving new bills for services 12 months ago.

I was patient for over 10 years, at the beginning he was helpful and seemed knowledgeable with my heart problems. Dr. Mirich performed numerous angiograms and angioplastys over the years. DR. mirich never performed both procedures the same day, I was also told that this couldn't be done due to amount of dye injected for the procedure. Only did I find out later that this was indeed incorrect, the only reason he did this was to get the full payment from my insurance for both procedures. should a doctor and hospital performed both procedures as other doctors do. they would only receive full payment for the first procedure and half payment for the final procedure. Since Dr. Mirich was head of the cardiologist unit he could manipulate the system and both the doctor and hospital would generate more compensation from the insurance carrier. It's a shame that Dr.Mirich and St Francisian Hospital in Crown Point can be held accountable.

Dr. Mirich is very bright, caring, and friendly. He has always been very thorough and careful with my examinations. He takes his time is listens to my concerns. His staff is a disaster. The receptionist can't hear when you call and ignores you when there. The nurses are wierd to the point of being disturbing.

Dr. Mirisch is a very compassionate doctor and has a very excellent bedside manner. He is very caring, knowledgeable and efficient. During my hospitalization, he was there early every day to check on me and has my cardiac conditions under control. He is very prompt on refilling my Rx. His nurses are some of the best in the business. I would recommend him to anybody.

Dr. Mirich was rude and condescending to my aged father when he was diagnosed with a failing heart. My dad decided to change cardiologists and was happy with his decision because the new doc treated him with dignity and better medical expertise.

Dr. Mirich failed to diagnose me with diabetes even though I complained of weight gain without cause for more than a year. My fasting blood sugar was low but after meals it was over 300. As far as I'm concerned he's useless. I wouldn't go to him for any reason.

Dr. Mirich is an extremely knowledgable, compassionate and friendly cardiologist. He was on time, spent an hour with me, and was very non-judgemental. He went out of his way to find samples of medications to get me started on was understanding about my concerns. I highly recommend him to anyone who has fears about going to doctors.
