Barely paid attention to me. Explained nothing about seizures. Flat out admitted we’d probably never find a cause. Wanted to change meds and treatment plans for things that had nothing to do with why I was seeing him.

So far every review I've read here is spot on. Horrible bed side manner. He acted surprised that I had a MRI done previously and spent no joke.. two minutes tops looking at it in front of me before telling me I have migraines and gave me prescription for anti seizure medication. He never really explained what the two problematic things were on the MRI and never addressed the real reason I was there which is the vertigo I'm experiencing. I walked out of there not knowing what or why I'm taking these meds for exactly and I cant go back to work because he wont sign off on my paperwork. Instead I got charged 25 dollars to have him file my short term disability paperwork and was told flat out it would be at least 4 weeks before he could get around to it. It's been way over 4 weeks and I'm sitting here unable to go back to work and running through my savings waiting for someone in that office to call me back and let me know if that paperwork is even going to be filed at all. I do not recommend this doctor at all.

I have been seeing Dr. Nieto since I found out I had Multiple Sclerosis I believe in 2014. I had a stroke from blood clot in 2011 and MRI showed MS lesions. The MD who treated my stroke didn't to tell me of possible MS lesions. All he said was I had white brain matter disease. I've been an RN for 22 years. I evidently had MS lesions way before 2011 because I've had neurological symptoms since mid 20s. I had another stroke in 2014, that is when I was told I have MS so I saw Dr Nieto. So, I've had 2 strokes, have had Multiple Sclerosis before 2011. My symptoms are severe at times. I have had Multiple herniated discs in lower back which I had a rhizotomy yesterday to help with pain. My legs fall asleep all the time. My right foot was numb and tingling, so I went to put my right foot on the floor, and fell on it injuring it. So my right foot possibly has Jones fracture needing surgery but can't afford because just paid 2000.00 for back surgery. Again had to have surgery on my rt thumb years ago due MS dizziness, I fell using right hand to catch my body, breaking right thumb requiring surgery. I have had severe anxiety attacks since 2006 from a stalker who stalked me 5 years straight. I got severe PTSD, anxiety and take meds now. I have severe loss of memory loss, lose my balance everyday! Hands fall asleep etc. Tried working 5 more yrs after MS diagnosis but couldn't. Severe fatigue, get severe right eye pain, from MS optic neuritis. My last RN job was 2015. Had a pt with an allergic reaction come in breathing problem, rash, so doc ordered meds. 3 meds had to be drawn up in 3 syringes. When I started preparing the med in a syringe, I sat it on the counter and started the next med. Sat it down. Started on 3rd med and I completely forgot what meds were in first two syringes! I threw the vials in a container so I had to start all over. I did the same thing second time around so all together, it took 25 minutes, and 3 different tries to prepare meds. But meds were given correctly as prescribed, discharge home. That was my last RN shift. I knew it was dangerous. I tried to work 5 more years after MS diagnosis, till 2015, couldn't. I don't have any money, no checking account, no debit card, Spouse and I are separated, but we still live together for health and financial issues. I applied for disability two times for my severe MS symptoms, which are all invisible to assess. Dr. Nieto has twice now refused to legally disable me.
If I could I would work. God knows I would. Not having money, Medications are expensive, one is 200.00 month which is for fatigue. If I didn't have this med, I couldn't do very much. I'm tired, stressed, the unknown days MS brings is scary. The medication I was taking for my MS symptoms and flare ups ended up making all my hair fall out.
I write all of these issues on paperwork Dr Nieto gives me but he never discussed with me any of them. With being legally disabled, I could buy my meds, buy my own food, actually have a debit card, etc. But Dr Nieto denied my disability twice, and it's sad because doctors are not aware of our disease symptoms and how bad we suffer on the inside but appear ok on the outside. Multipleis is incurable so it's only getting worse. Every time I applied for disability, I was happy thinking I would soon be able to help myself, instead of bumming money. I can't work because of my disease, my memory loss, my balance problems, severe pain, sweating 24/7 passing out, headaches, possibly losing my balance and falling again resulting in broken bones etc. So to you Dr Nieto, at this point I feel it's not in my best interest for me to see you anymore. I sought help in my MS and how to better my life by getting my MS under control. Both times you denied my disability because you have zero interest in helping me obtain disability. I will never be able to afford to send my 19 yr old daughter to college, I will never buy her first new car. I haven't had real cash of my own 2 yrs now. Can't afford to buy my 10 yr old granddaughter anything. I know my spouse is tired of supporting me, I would live in a nursing home, just to let him live a real life. I will never recommend Dr Nieto for my medical needs nor will I ever make an appointment again. I will find another neurologist. With everything I suffer daily both physically and emotionally, I will be suffering for the rest of my life. I will be looking for a new doctor asap. I will try to apply for disability again. Yet I've seen people get full disability for just anxiety. I have real medical disease, severe pain, severe anxiety, severe memory loss, severe balance issues. Back surgeries, thumb surgery, now rt foot surgery, all from falling down due to MS balance issues. I have to have financial means to survive. Living life with no money, and Horrible MS, just makes life harder and it shouldn't have to be this stressful getting disability with having MS, and for so long before starting treatment.

He did not listen to my concerns. When I told him that I had been seeing a psychologist, he dismissed my complaints and automatically prescribed a medication that did not help. I went back to let him know that the medication prescribed did not help my migraines and then he prescribed me something for bipolar. My psychologist was not in agreement with his recommendation. I did not return to him.

Had to have our primary physician recommend another neurologist for my mother. On his first visit, he was OK. Asked questions, etc. With my mothers' EXTENSIVE neurological history, we expected him to do more, as she was a new patient. NOPE. Upped some meds for her and sent her on her way. She's had a few fainting issues, major headaches, and other neurological symptoms that we needed addressed. Primary physician had to order the MRI, and when we FINALLY got an appointment to see him a month later... we were tended to by the N.P. Mind you, she was wonderful and has a great manner...but when I see him walking down the hall, I want to know why my mother was not seen by her Dr.... the insurance and Medicare are paying a fortune, and he's not even seeing his patients? Don't even know if he looked at the MRI.
Well, if we're not important enough to be seen by you, you're not important enough to get our business!

I was so hopeful to have an answer about my neurological symptoms, as I was pretty scared. To be told that I probably have sleep apnea (there is a sleep study center affiliated with this office) and migraines was disheartening to say the least. I suffered from migraines before, and know what they feel like and what I'm experiencing now is definitely not migraines. He barely perused my brain MRI, and acted as if I was wasting his time. If you have a valid concern about a tumor or aneurysm, DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. It may save your life.

The intial contact with the MD was fine. I took the new RX to CVS. They faxed to Nieto for PA. Called 10 days later to see if the ins. approved or not. The nurse said they hadn't even received anything from CVS. She also mentioned it's $25 for MD to fill out a prior auth form...had no clue they charge..So, I called back and forth..CVS faxed them 5 times and still nothing, the nurse said with attitude ma'am idk what to tell you there's nothing else i can do. The nurse stayed on the phone til she received the fax from CVS. Went to the office to pay for the PA, & let 'em know they need to inform patients about this charge & that the RX i just wrote will need a PA. The nurse faxed the ins. co. so i called ins. co. a wk later. They never received it. called nieto..nurse gave me attitude & then hung up on me.Talked to office manager and she took care of it for me. Staff is confrontational & there phones never work,busy signal, can never get a hold of anybody.I DONT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYBODY!

This is mainly about the staff. Rescheduled/cancelled 90% of my appointment, would then lie about it. Two staff member opted to drop me as a patient instead of keeping my scheduled appointments as is.

He seemed very helpfull during our first few visits but we noted some things that began to concern us about this doctor; Comes in to appointments 15 to 20 min late. Talks to you with his back to you. uncertain of his medical knowledge because he only reoommends stronger pain pills. His last charge for filling out insurance papers was $100, up from $25 dollars last year. (His comment was, "He had to get paid for his time"). His office has a bad reputation for dealing with pharmicies and other doctors when it comes to gettig them needed patient information. After three year we changed doctors.
