Dr. Ramirez took my daughter on as a patient when she was 1 week old and no other doctor wanted a patient so young. He made sure she was evaluated, followed her condition very closely, and kept her stable as long as possible before scheduling surgery to allow her system to grow and increase the chances of success. He has always taken time to explain, sometimes repeatedly, until I really understood what was going on, and seems to have a great working relationship with the nurses and other staff. He never minimized any concerns I had, and encouraged me to keep researching and asking questions as long as it helped our family through the process. He consulted with ER staff while on vacation, and always made sure to let me follow up with him locally when the condition allowed it, taking into consideration that I am not local to the Miami office. I can't say enough good things about him and his concern for my daughter. He truly cares for his patients, and though I've sometimes waited for my appointment, I do so happily knowing he is taking time to explain things to the patients and families before me as he does with us. I once left his office at 6 pm and he was still seeing patients that had come in late so they wouldn't have to come back. Truly impressed with this doctor.

Dr Felix Ramirez diagnosed my son with a very common disorder. The pathologist simply rubber stamped Ramirez preliminary diagnosis without identifying a cause for my son’s condition. Treatment had 30% chance of saving his kidneys & would leave him sterile. We researched & discovered my son did not fit profile for diagnosis. It was more of a hereditary condition & he had no family medical history of kidney problems. We sought 2nd opinion from out of state doctor. Additional tests were conducted & exact cause of illness was identified. His condition was easily controllable. Daily medication & a healthy diet were prescribed to stop degradation of his kidneys. It has been several years since. My son is doing well & his kidneys are holding steady. Had he stayed with Dr. Ramirez he would have lost what kidney function he had left & become sterile. Throughout the years I have come across a handful of Dr. Ramirez‘ patients. It seems he uses a one size fits all approach to medicine.

Dr. Ramirez is by far the best doctor. He knows what he is talking about and is always there for you. I would not change him for any other doctor!

Dr. Ramirez is a horrible doctor. He has horrible bedside manners. Always thinks he's right and doesn't even let his patients give their opinion. Everytime you tell him something about a problem he snaps at you and tells you something else. He always counters at what you are saying. Dr. Ramirez is also rude with the nurses. He always thinks he's right when in fact sometimes the patients know more than him. BEWARE of this Dr. he might kill you with his unprofessionalism.

He's hard to talk to and hard to find. He's one of these doctors that go to work and when it's 12 pm he's racing out that door! Horrible bedside manners he has. Will never forget when I was at my worse all he did was make sarcastic jokes. So many times they made me reschedule my appointment because he did not come in, or I was a minute late and he decided to leave early. What kind of doctor leaves early all the time knowing he has patients coming in? Dr Ramirez, that's who!

My parent's met Dr. Ramirez when i was 1 years old after i was diagnosed with kidney disease. I went into kidney failure and had to stay at Miami Childrens hospital on Dialysis and the care I received from Dr. Ramirez. was "TOP NOTCH". I underwent a kidney transplant in 1987, and according to my parents Dr. Ramirez supported them every step of the way. My parents remind me how kind and caring he was. I last saw Dr. Ramirez last year at the age of 22, and he still continues to give excellent care to me and all of his patients.

Dr. Ramirez is a Pediatric Nephrologist. He is a great physician, he is patient, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. I have been going to Dr. Ramirez since I was about 7 years old, I had surgery when I was 10, today I am 30 years old, and despite that he is a Pediatric Nephrologist I still go to him for my check-ups...Its been 23 years of excellence with him. :) Needless to say I HIGHLY recommend him. The staff provides great service, and although sometimes you are sitting in the waiting room a little longer than you would like, it is most definitely worth it, if you want your child in the hands of an excellent doctor.
