This guy is amazing and he's the best doctor I've had in years. I found him online through my insurance company, and I went to the Canal Street office. I've now seen him 3 times, and I can't say enough about Dr. Peng. He actually listens to me when I describe my issues, and then he really tries to come up with a solution that he thinks will fix the problem. After the third visit, he decided to refer me to a different specialist, and I have to say that I really appreciated this. His main concern is fixing the problem, and he seems willing to do whatever it takes to find an answer. I will continue to see him for some other related issues, and I only wish that he could be my general physician, rather than merely my urologist. Anyway, the guy is friendly, smart, and caring, and you can't ask for more from a doctor. 5 star rating.

It was my first time seeing him. I was referred to see him because of a urine-related issue. As I handed the lady my insurance card, I saw another receptionist writing their own RateMD reviews. She tried to cover her screen with a table divider, but I already saw what they were doing... I guess you cannot trust the reviews written about him, because they were written by him!

The majority of Dr. Peng's patients are men who are advanced in years. Prior to my first appointment, I was worried about getting a circumcision, especially my being in the second year of highschool. Dr. Peng is extremely helpful in answering questions succintly and pointing out any problems. The members of the staff, despite their duty to take calls, file papers, and schedule appointments, are also quite knowledgable and have answered several of my questions post-circumcision. Overall, I am very satisfied post-circumcision and will definitely see him again in the future.

He really wants to please his white patients more than his Chinese patients. I had a urine infection, and he never cured it. It was a total waste of time to see him, because he never properly treated my urine infection.

Dr. Peng is an excellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable AND he also takes the time to explain things to you so you in a way that is easy to understand. It is also easy to get an appointment with him in emergency situations. His staff is also excellent. I recommend him highly.

Dr. Peng is not only a proficient urologist but also a very dedicated doctor who always treats patient like his personal friends. Prior to seeing him in 1992, I had two strictures in my urethral. He did cut them open and that he was able to get rid one of my strictures and leave the other one treated with dilation. During my lack of insurance coverage period, I went to see one urologist who did the dilation on me but could not find my stricture deep inside the urethral and he gave up. Another doctor advised me to take a surgery to get rid of the stricture once and for all but if it is not successful he said, I will end up with leaking. After careful consideration, I went back to him regardless of my ins. coverage. I was impressed by Dr. Peng’s skill and knowledge. He is my savior. Dr. Peng is a very clever & caring doctor who is always ready to resolve any issue that a patient is facing. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Dr. Peng to be your urologist. Weng F. Lo

Very satisfied. Ran a full battery of tests to investigate whether I was dealing with BHP or prostate cancer: multiple ultrasounds, multiple blood tests, flow test, CT scan. Covered all the angles.

I would wish at this time to permit myself praise for a fine doctor, physician and surgeon. His name is Benjamin Peng M.D. He is a urologist in New York Downtown Hospital. He is a good gentlemen who cares. He cares about you as a patient. He cares about you as a human being. He cares about the Science of Medicine and the study of the totality.
