Dr.Byrne has performed surgery on me.
I was always informed and everything went very well.
He is a General Surgeon.
I WOULD TRUST HIM WITH MY LIFE AND MY DAUGHTER'S LIFE.

I’m not surprised if all the bad reviews. They are all 100% accurate. Yes, and the shaky hands is what made him miss a stitch in my surgery based on a second follow up by a walk in doctor. Went back to see Dr Burns and was rude non apologetic and said I should be thankful he did my surgery. To this day I still have issues with that surgery he did back in2008.
He had his shaky hand back then and I asked he said there will be no issues since it’s a simple surgery.
When I went back again he was on medical leave I was told. Or was he put on probation? Who knows.
I really wonder who actually wrote the good reviews or did someone else do the surgery with his supervision.
I give him no stars. Rude, impatient, doesn’t listen, his word is the only thing that counts.
The medical review board should look back at all his surgeries and retire him permanently.

Love Dr. Byrne, he's just amazing caring, and takes time to listen. Love Andrea too, she listens and really cares.

Sent my son away to soak an ingrown toenail in Epsom salts. My son explained to him that he had been doing that for months and had just finished 10 days of antibiotics for cellulitis in the toes. . Doctor did not change his plan of care. Told him to book another appt for 5 weeks later. Three days after the appt he developed cellulitis in it again and was told to go to emerg by a walk in clinic doctor because it was so bad. Ended up needing another 10 days of antibiotics. In the end, we had to pay out of pocket to get it properly treated. Glad he got the OHIP $$$ for a "consult".

This doctor has shaky hands, no bedside manner and should retire. He performed a procedure during a routine exam without bothering to warn me first! Unbelievable. It felt like I was being assaulted. The nurse apologized profusely, but it wasn't nearly enough to make me go back to him.

I have had Dr. Alan Byrne for many years. He is a brilliant diagnostician and a very caring, compassionate doctor who listens when you talk to him. He practices medicine with hands on examination rather than just listening to patient give symptoms .I can not recommend him highly enough and would put my life in his hands always and my family (which I have many times

Dr Byrne is my hero,he removed a ingrown toe nail and will do the second one in a week.I debated for 30 years as I hate needles but the Dr reassured me he would be fine and it was.His secretary Andrea was very helpful by putting me on the cancellation list which worked out great.Thank you both Andrea and Dr Byrne.

I have a condition called Diverticulitis and Byrne saw me in the hospital, and a follow up at his office. Four months later the symptoms came back and when I called his office on Monday morning his assistant got him on the phone and he urged me to come right into his office., over his lunch break. I believe this Dr to be very committed to his patients and very experienced. Yes he is older, I wouldn't be surprised to see his hands shake (read below) but have not witnessed this. He has yet to operate on me, however when he does I believe he will perform the surgery with care and skill.

I had to get something removed on my skin. Drove down to oakville... 45 min of traffic the whole way. Waited in the outpatient room for an hour. Got dressed in a gown. Waited in another room. He finally showed up tried to find it with his shaky hands and said it's too small to operate on. I then had to pay 10 for parking. Total waste of time, guess he's happy that he got paid to do nothing.
