He would call it "conservative", for everyone else "negligent" would be the politest description for this doctor. While treating a progressive, and irreversible disease, he failed to measure the progress of the disease accurately and did not make any changes to the medical management plan when it became apparent that his course of action was not working. He did not say anything to the patient for years, and only referred him to a specialist after 75% of his vision was already lost. In consulting with fellow patients, it is clear that he is cavalier with all of his patients. However, luckily for them, he is just doing routine exams, and not treating a medical condition. Dr. Kruger needs to be honest with himself and with his patients when he is unable to adequately provide care, rather than lying to them. He should have his licence revoked, there is no way this is the first time he has made such a "mistake".
